Al-Jazeera stream is overloaded...the clip was very choppy but yes they're our troops. :( I hope that the female soldier won't be raped.

Strange, I'm averaging about 380.

It seems to me, the americans encounter more resistance than they expected with the loss of a plain, a few hostages and , how sad, more than a dozen soldiers in hospital or dead.

It seems to me that this war, like any war, always has two losers....never a real winner.

Stream steady and at 389 again for me. There are American flag graphics around the newscasters when they show the split-screen interviews....oops...down to 258 now...a bit choppy at times.

They did just show that video clip of the child's head split open. Would still like to know how that happened...looks like a very clean wound.

Well, so much for all the people cheering about Umm Qasr being taken in a day.

Why would that change?

Or are they secretly cheering for the Iraqis in Canada?

But why would their faces look a bit scorched? More like shrapnel from an RPG? And burns from the explosion? I know nothing, really, of munitions and the way they work but it just doesn't look like executions to me.

This is what I was dreading when the war started. I didn't think it would be easy. I knew that some of our soldiers would be captured and we would see them tortured on video. They do not treat prisoners well at all over there.

Now the marines are gonna be pissed, and I doubt that iraqis will be given the chance to surrender anymore....

Oh yeah the single gunshot wound to the head looks nothing like an execution.

One of the reasons why I'm proud to be an American is how we treat our prisoners of war. I want the Iraqis to surrender and that we treat them well and that they will remember our kindness and hopefully in the future our two countries will be friends.

I wonder if these journalists that are "embedded" are armed or not? There is no way I would be in their shoes without my own personal weapon just in case it really hits the fan.....

Do you speak in painfully obvious anecdotes in real life? Sorry, but yeah, we're invading, so...

I'm not surprised what Iraqis are doing... what would you do if defending yourself from someone the size of USA/UK Forces lol.
