I wonder how legit the FOX "Baghdad" reports are. It was previously reported that all FOX reporters were expelled from Iraq a week ago.

Its coming from the Pentagon BTW.

Should it be????

It has responses being posted so fast to it that it already appears to be stickied at the top.

CNN is confirming the part about SH being the target, but it isn't clear if his sons were also. He'd be stupid to actually keep his two "deputies" with him...

How the hell can you have just one thread for a war? Think about it.
They did it on 9/11, the *Official* and *Confirmed* thread was sticked up for a long time...

They went through several of them, cause they kept getting too long...

What Grasshopper said. It was several thousand posts long iirc
There were three or four threads that were several thousand posts long. The first filled up within about two hours, it was something like 35 pages long or something. They closed it and linked to the next one which they stickied up at the top, it filled up and they did it again...

Argh! I can't goto sleep yet, too excited.

To be clear, I'm exicted in much the same way as the ground troops are exicted.

Let's get this war going already so we can kick ass and finish it!

Shepard said that was incorrect and they need to take it off screen.

Just watched the c-span viewer call-ins. A lot of very wise stuff was said by the anti-war people. The argument about weather we should are should not be going to war with iraq is all about what people think the outcome of the war will be. If I knew that we could bring stability and freedom to iraq and keep it out from under the control of dictators, and that we would NOT be creating a huge amount of hatred towards the uUS, and more conflict in the mideast.... then i would be for the war. But this is simply not so, we will deeply regret how we chose to resolve this issue. I hope the best for our soldiers, and the iraqi people. too late now, i hope for the best. oh god, my nation, my nation!!!

After watching TV for about 3 hours straight (that's very unusual for me, as I almost never watch any TV at all), I think it's about time for me to go to sleep, as I do need to get up in the morning. Ergo, this is not much more than a bump-to-subscribe-for-updates. :)

Anyway, the issue of Saddam and his 8 doubles had me thinking... I mean, how do you know it was actually him going into this meeting place (which was subsequently bombed)? Perhaps he told one of his doubles what to say and that person just played his part? The military certainly has millions of times more info about the situation than we do, but it's still got to be hard.
