NBC News?Jim Miklaszewski reported that U.S. forces had launched a preliminary wave of attacks using B-1, B-2, B-52 bombers, as well as F117 ?stealth?bombers flying from three aircraft carriers, against what senior U.S. military sources described as a ?key air node?and a ?national command center.?The forces were firing cruise missiles from both land and sea.
I dont believe this is true... They wouldnt risk using the B-52 while Iraq's air-defenses are still largely intact... Also, none of those aircrafts (B1, B2, B52 and F117A) fly from aircraft carriers...
It would be interesting seeing a B52 try and take off or land on an aircraft carrier.![]()
The same guy just said 2 2000lb bunker bombs were also used and that the Pentagon is confirming that Saddam was the target. Could this be over already?
even so, the war goes on...to save face unfortunately...sigh higher taxes![]()
As stated earlier in this thread, even if this strike did get Saddam (which I highly doubt), we wont know for certain until we actually go in there...
true...or Iraq military does not disclose this info...still sad
