Maybe an Iron bomb was used to make the situation permanent after it came back online.

We don't need no water let the motherfvcker burn

Man the ratio of their soldiers dying compared to ours is excellent. Even though, I wish we didn't have to lose any soldiers.

Man I just can't imagine and begin to imagine the grins on our soldiers faces as they blow away those bastards. Revenge is the sweetest joy next to getting pussy.

I doubt they get much pleasure in killing....

You wouldn't be happy if you fired a shell from your tank that blew up an enemy one?

You don't think after getting shot at by them that they would enjoy shooting them? It's do or die out there!!!

In a do or die situation of course youre going to be happy to survive, thats not the same thing as enjoying the fact you killed someone else.

I'm sure their fallen comrades are on their minds, but I trust in the professionalism of our armed forces to not act in blind rage and hatred.

Cavalry != Calvary

Casulties aside I like the statement that they used a GPS bomb to destroy the last GPS jamming device, hence evidence they didn't work well.

FoxNews just reported that the Pentagon says the taking out of Iraqi TV was a "Presidential-Level decision" and the reason it was not taken out before was because of fear of civilain casualties.

CBS changed their story on the link I added earlier. Now they just say it was conventional bombs.

Curious . . . yesterday one of Fox's many analysts said the rationale for not destroying the station was to provide a suitable facility to communicate with the Iraqi after Saddam falls.

And CNN is reporting the Pentagon TODAY says the station was taken out as part of a pre-determined sequence of events to undermine the regime.

I guess it's possible for all three accounts to be the truth

I really haven't seen this mentioned much but I noticed in USA Today that there are several soldiers missing from that first ambush on the supply line that resulted in POWs being displayed on Iraqi TV. Two of those are women. So that makes it 3 women who are missing or captured. I'm hoping that the one they showed on TV will be okay (because the eyes of the world are watching) but I'm worried about the two missing women (along with the missing male soldiers) listed below: :(

-------
USA Today

In addition, seven others were classified as missing from An Nasiriyah. Among them: Army Pvt. Brandon Sloan, 19, of Bedford Heights, Ohio, Pfc. Lori Piestewa, 22, of Tuba City, Ariz., and Pfc. Jessica Lynch, 19, supply clerk, of Palestine, W.Va., family members said. The names of four others were not available.
--------

Here's a CNN story about Pfc. Jessica Lynch: http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/South/03/24/missing.soldier.ap/index.html

She seems like a sweet young girl. I hope she's okay. I hope they are all okay and will be home safe soon. :(

IMO, we shouldn't send women to war. I hope they will all safely return home soon.

They've handled their own. They can operate machinery just as well as men can.

Example: read a few threads up about the "Airborne Barbies!"

Not a question of can they do the job. The question is more - how America will react to the first tortured, raped, killed women in war. The significance of that happening will certainly be realized as a magnifying glass is placed over the issue. An issue that is not necessary to prove, an area that does not need to have "Equal Rights" representation.

The bigger question than "what division?" is what did the Iraqis use to knock them out? Or did they just throw a track?

CBS reported them as destroyed. I imagine we will have specific details by morning.

I would be wary of a close range t-72 with a tungston sabot.

as long as none of our guys were hurt......although considering his group might hit that red line first I wouldn't be disappointed to see him sent home early with minor injuries...
