As long as the people being beaten are brown, the Republicans will be wanking to the footage. Cruelty is the goal.

Given the sloppiness of both CBP and the Trump admin they're gonna try to raid the wrong place at some point and get themselves killed. Either by the cartels or random citizens with guns.

Man if you can find some. Last time I was in my local stores there were zero. I patiently await Mr. Trump to cancel the evil liberal avian flu with an executive order lol.
Bought some eggs yesterday - plenty to buy in my MA grocery store. Perhaps some brands were wiped out, but I attribute that more to buying on a Sunday afternoon just before a snow storm rolled through.

No weather to speak of out here on the west coast. Regional shortages seem like a thing depending on the producers/distributors.

I think Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller are counting on it. The reaction will be to ramp up the violence. If the drug war taught us anything it is that more dead cops are a price Republicans are willing to pay to increase the police state and the profits that flow from it.

For sure.

But we need answers for the real questions: who's looking out for every day Joe American buying 8 gallons of milk a week, or living on 360 eggs/month?

Relatedly I wonder if anybody has considered what a hot war with the cartels inside American territory is going to look like. I doubt it.

See my edited post. There is good money to be made on violence and the Republicans are all in.

I mean I'm talking about quite a few steps up from what we domestically know as "the drug war". Like terrorism and assassinations that central and south American countries have had to endure trying to fight armed drug groups. The US does not have any experience with that inside its own borders.

Watching all this "normal" process in the turnover makes me realize what will ultimately be a big cause of whatever bad happens next.

Democrats act proper, follow the norms and the laws all while the other side does nothing of the sort. It's as if one side fighting a war like it's the revolutionary war and lining up in formation while the other side is using guerrilla tactics which the other side responds to with "no fair, they're not doing what they're supposed to!!!!".

Prime example of this is having Harris walk out of the WH with Vance (who made all kinds of awful statements/suggestions about her over the last ~6 months) and get into the same limo to go to the capitol, . If I were her, I'd ask him why he wants to ride in the same car considering how much it smells like curry (he made statements along those lines during campaign).

They better wake the fuck up and stop acting normal and legitimizing the absolute abhorrent behavior of these fucking deplorable assholes.

LOL what exactly can they do?

They've been conquered, fully.

The notion that current unpopular Dems do anything is laughable.

In fact, the sooner Biden, Harris, et al disappear into private life, the better.

When inflation starts going up under Trump he will blame the deep state.

Idiots will believe it.

I was sort of wondering which of his 4(5?) names JD was going to use for the official ceremony ...

So I went to the grocery store yesterday, and eggs were expensive. Will they be cheaper this afternoon, or should I wait until tomorrow to give him time to work his magic?

Isn't "birthright citizenship" actually in the Constitution? Really looking forward to seeing how the Supremes manage to erase the 14th. I have faith in their limitless capacity for logic-chopping, though.

On day one, the president-elect has plans in place to sign more than 200 executive orders – a record – covering everything from border security and energy, ending birthright citizenship, and renaming the Gulf of Mexico.

I don't know.

But it's insane to try to play the resist game thinking the current crop of Dems are going to somehow save the day. They are not our friends.

Live your life.

Yes and the contemporaneous records from the time is was passed flat out say "Yes, this is absolutely 100% what it means and intend". It is not at all ambiguous.

Trump just declared war on foreign gangs and organized criminal elements... Wonder if that'll be a precursor to war with Mexico/Central American countries.

It's frankly a failure of reporting.

They should be outright saying "Trump wants to do illegal thing. He claims it's not illegal. It still is illegal."

Instead, we get BS reporting of "one side says X, another side says Y, only you dear reader can decide who to believe."
