That's what? till Feb till there are elections to replace Gaetz and the others??

I think March or April last I read. That assumes everybody stays heathy and able to vote too which in a body this size is not a given. There is also a funding fight brewing that could eat up months of their time too.

Fuck around...about to find out. The great irony is that the rich will buy depresses stocks at fire sale prices and become even richer during an economic recovery.

I have spare cash (not ATOT millionaire baller cash) that I could certainly part with under those circumstances - assuming I don't get fucked as well
I am preparing for this very scenario myself. Per report warren buffet (the guy who said always have your money in the stock market) is holding the largest cash position he has ever held in anticipation of a market crash in 2025 so he can swoop in and buy companies and stocks on the cheap. he alone is at 300 billion in free cash and the remainder of big institutions is somewhere in the trillions. Right now the free cash that hedgefunds are holding in reserve in anticipation of a crash is supposed to be at record levels. Eep o_O

Who built the Panama Canal?
The United States Paid for the French Rights to the Canal Zone and built it with the lives and health of many workers.
We ( Jimmy Carter and Congress ) fucked up and gave it away under the Torrijos-Carter Treaties that gave control back to Panama. Bad move IMO.

If we are going to roll back up every place that we gave back to the actual people that live there from the imperial expansion era the military is going to be very busy.

He's complaining about the US paying too much, even though the US pays the same as everyone else. If those tolls were set in 2017, during his first presidency, why didn't he complain then or at any other point in the last 7 years?

On 1 April 2016, a more complicated toll system was introduced, having the neopanamax locks at a higher rate in some cases, natural gas transport as a new separate category and other changes.[92] As of 1 October 2017, there are modified tolls and categories of tolls in effect.[93] Small (less than 125 ft) vessels up to 583 PC/UMS net tons when carrying passengers or cargo, or up to 735 PC/UMS net tons when in ballast, or up to 1,048 fully loaded displacement tons, are assessed minimum tolls based upon their length overall, according to the following table (as of 29 April 2015):

Length of vesselToll
Up to 15.240 m (50 ft)US$800
From 15.240 to 24.384 m (50 to 80 ft)US$1,300
From 24.384 to 30.480 m (80 to 100 ft)US$2,000
More than 30.480 m (100 ft)US$3,200
INTRA MARITIME CLUSTER – Local Tourism
More than 24.384 m (80 ft)
US$2,000
plus $72/TEU

For the most part, the US isn't paying anything. It's the owners of the ships going through that pay. This man has a terrible understanding of all this stuff, like thinking the trade deficit means the US is actually losing money in some zero-sum game.

I am in a trade deficit with the bar down the street that sells me alcohol. I demand Mr. Trump invade them.

That’s pretty reasonable looking. I don’t think anyone is going around the block to avoid the tolls.

You can't even admit the US didn't build the Panama Canal. It was built 85% by France but they ran out of money so they sold the project and the US finished it and profited from it.

You're really going to need to cite a source for that 85% built by France.
