The United States Paid for the French Rights to the Canal Zone and built it with the lives and health of many workers.
We ( Jimmy Carter and Congress ) fucked up and gave it away under the Torrijos-Carter Treaties that gave control back to Panama. Bad move IMO.

So come January 20th I was already planning at all times on carrying my US passport and a copy of my birth certificate showing native born status, but for those of us who are brown and have scary/undesirable last names, will this be enough in the event of an encounter with the deportation police?
