At least halfway yeah. This would take it to all the way.

The 5th Circuit ruling the nation potentially forever is not something I feel I signed up for in terms of my consent to be governed. Ditto the conservative majority on SCOTUS ignoring black letter law and making shit up.

When you say you don't want an appeals court in the South ruling the nation you are attacking the independence of the judiciary. If they aren't immune from criticism for making shit up we are no longer a nation of laws.

Humans really are not fit for Democracy. We are FAR too vulnerable to propaganda. Absurdly so. The protections needed to secure our freedoms from the human psyche are sorely lacking. Starting with education and conditioning. To teach critical thinking and to value the scientific method. To be able to see things for what they are. Instead of just listening to what we want to hear. Without a firm and strong grasp on these practices, we have failed our people and squandered our founders gift to us. America needs a strong and educated people to survive. In the 21st century we have neither.

I like how Trump is demanding 5% spending by Europe on defense. If they spent anything close to that they would tell us to take a hike because they wouldn't need us anymore. Alliances where you are the senior partner and receive huge deference politically....how do they work?
