Well, went to a showing last night and I'm sorry I wasted my money.

All that really sticks out to me afterward was a thin plot line that just lurched from robot fight to robot fight, little else. Was very bored after an hour into the movie.

I'd honestly rather sit through three showings of Green Lantern than see this mess again. And compared to other summer blockbuster movies.....the mindless, escapist type movies like Raiders, Star Wars, any Pixar......this is just another Bay mess. I really wonder what could have been from the franchise with different direction.

C'est la vie.....money is just money, just sorry I wasted 2.5 hours of my life I'll never get back. At least the A/C in the theater was working.

Sounds like you went to the movie expecting something other than what was obvious. There's been 2 previous movies, you honestly though this one would be any different?

Thankfully Bay changed his style for Dark of the Moon. He pulled the camera back and slowed down the fighting so that you can better tell what is going on and who is doing who for the most part.

Agreed, that was my main complaint about #2 was the camerawork and a boring story that did not engage the viewer. Lucky the third largely fixes those issues.

I saw the movie last night in 3D and am not a proponent of 3D but this movie was cool to see in 3D, i recommend it here. Specially for the beginning cybertron shots.

What did you guys think of Megan Fox 2.0?

I liked her and the nice dresses she wore. I was dissapointed she had jeans for the final third of the film. Which was funny since if you saw the movie she did not have a change of clothes.

What Michael Bay just doesn't get:

He needed to make it easy to distinguish between Autobots and Decipticons. You spend the whole movie wondering "Is that a good or a bad guy?"

You need to have a couple of main characters, not 50.

SLOW THE FIGHT SCENES DOWN. When you have 50' robots fighting, the scale makes you wonder what the hell is going on.

Oh, and hire a freakin' writing team. I don't know if he writes his own scripts or what, but someone needs to tell him he's not good at it.

Anybody talking about the PLOT in a Bay movie just shouldn't be watching Bay movies. You've seen the other two Transformers movies right? Did you like them? If not... why'd you see this one? If so... how could this one be worse than the 2nd one?

Judging by that pic I don't like her. Her lips are TOO big for her face and that seems to be the reason she was tossed in there. Fox is better. In a movie like this acting talent doesn't mean shit and it's all eye candy, and IMO Fox won.

The guy makes millions and this series is geared towards children.

Well you are not 12 anymore

Get a real life instead of trying to find enjoyment in a Hasbro toy movie

1> saw part 1, Megan looked good, boy looked 100% homo-buttgay, funny black man, other than those, it sucked. Hopes for better sequal.

2> seen it, Megan didnt dress as hot, horrible acting from everyone, especially her. not 1 chuckle from "funny" lines cause they were stupid, boy still looks homo-buttgay, Soundwave was awesome, everyone else sucked and in general it was the worst i've seen since GI Joe...may god help us.

3> Not seeing it, don't give a fuck. Instead i'll see the original Transformers the movie again cause its like 100x's better.

That was not a problem at all in the movie. The autobots all have very distinguishing color schemes. It could be difficult telling one Decepticon from another but you could always tell which one was an Autobot (colors!) versus a Decepticon (gunmetal gray)

Dear Mr High Horse,

The movies are targeted at the 25-30 somethings that grew up with the toys in the 1980's. Mr. Bay has said this himself.

Thanks.

The Internet.

thinking back on my life so far I am really saddened by the fact that i felt bad for what happened to you when you illegally installed software on university computers. Today i wish you were rotting in jail

Maybe but you can still tell somethings are aimed for kids like the two little autobots in this third film. Bay also said the third movie would be filmed 2D and quickly said it would be 3D showing he does not have full control over "his" movies.

LOL

I really enjoyed it for what it was. I was a big Tranformers fan back in the day, had the toys, saw all the cartoons, have the movie on dvd and I saw the previous 2 films. Probably the most enjoyable film for me this year but I'm massively biased towards the film.

Rosie looked f0rking hot imo. The first shot of her was seriously gratuitous but great. Loved her in the white.

Koing

Watched it in 3d earlier, can't fault it tbh. I knew it was going to dissapoint on some levels as the other 2 have but unfortunatly you either watch it and feel Bay's ego leeching through every scene and get over it or you choose not to watch it at all which doesn't seem like an option to me.

Watched it today in 3d. As usual I eventually forgot about the 3d and it amounted to not much more than a mild headache for the latter half of the movie. Still, the mechanized mayhem going on pretty much all the time kept me interested. The plot is nothing special, nor is the acting, but every robot fight scene is supremely satisfying. Top notch special effects abound, and what did I watch the movie for if not exquisitely rendered robot carnage? I quite enjoyed it overall, but it's not the kind of movie you watch twice to pick up on the finer details.

I saw it this morning; theater was dead empty, got to park in the spot right outside the door. I went in with fairly low expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was way better than Transformers 2; that movie had me downright angry by the end knowing that I'd never get those 2 hours of my life back. This movie was actually fun. Sure, the plot was fairly silly, but compared to Revenge of the Fallen, this was Shakespeare. The action wasn't filmed in the same hectic flashes of nothing as the previous one either; you could actually tell what was going on. And the battles were actually pretty badass, with a lot more slow-mo executions than I expected in a children's movie (side note: why the hell do the Transformers suddenly have blood?).

All in all, I'd recommend it for what it is; a worthy successor to Transformers (and not the cinematic abortion that was Transformers 2). It's not a great movie by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a good summer action film, and that's what I wanted from it.

Also, to the people who complained that they couldn't tell the Autobots and Decepticons apart:
there's only like 9 Autobots in the whole movie, and every single one of them is brightly colored, excepting Ironhide and Sideswipe (neither of whom appear in robot form for all but a few minutes of the film). You have a yellow one (Bumblebee), green one (Ratchet), red one (Dino, the fucking awesome Ferrari 458 Italia), the three brightly colored rally cars, the two little guys and Optimus. That's it. It REALLY isn't that challenging to spot the difference between them and the Decepticons. If you see color, it's a good guy.

I did watch it earlier today and I like it, much much better than Fallen.

The fight scences are much better and you can see who is fighting who and less shiny bots. Oh yes, more violent and close up of parts chop off.

I think there will be another sequel and major change in the next one.

Since Megatron is dead, who will be the new leader? I hope they bring back Soundwave and his two little robots.

Did any of you stay after the credit? Anything good?

Saw it Friday. Was what I expected, mindless explosions with an incoherent plot, but it let my brain shut down for awhile.

My biggest issue was Who the Fuck is Shockwave. Where did he come from, why wasn't he in the other movies? Cause his giant ever growing worm thing that raped a building would have been useful in the other movies. Also where the hell was it hiding? how did it get from Ukraine to Chicago and nobody noticed? does the damn thing tunnel through the planet? Wouldn't somebody notice that shit?

WTF happened to Soundwave? Did Cybertron not have an atmosphere cause the "planet" just looked like a big space station.
Why was John Malkovich(the best actor in the movie) wasted on a horrible bit character.
Why was the Asian guy from Hangover even in the movie... playing the same asinine role?
How did the Transfomers get to Earth from Cybertron just fine but somehow the 100's of decepticons couldn't get from the Moon to Earth?
Did they really need to have robot Nemoy quote from Two classic sci-fi franchises (one being a famous line spoken by Spock)?
How did all of those people fall through all of that shattered GLASS and nobody got cut... at all?
Why use the fucking wingsuits when the SEALS seemed to come in on the water with 0 casualties....
Why are their transformers with "old" faces? how exactly does a machine "age" did they replace his parts with ones that made him look older... wtf.

And Megan Fox > Rosie. She had the whole dangerously sexy thing going for her. Rosie was just there as obvious eye-candy who can change outfits on a whim between cuts.
