I knew Megatron, Shockwave, Soundwave, and Starscream. Other than that I had no idea but then again I didnt grow up with G1 in the first place.

I think I only saw one distinguishable Decepticon that I couldn't name. It was
when Optimus started "tearin' up the joint." It was a large Decepticon with wheels on its rather over-sized arms.

i could tell them apart when they were just standing around chatting but when they were mixing it up i found it difficult.

For the entire series, I haven't been able to tell the silver/mettalic decepticons apart. Especially with how tight Bay shoots everything.

Laserbeak too.

Other than those, there weren't really any 'name' Decepticons in Dark of the Moon.

you'll be happy to know he panned out a bit and slowed things down during key action sequences.

Sometimes I don't want to watch artsy fartsy junk. Not every movie has to have this deep dark plot or some junk. Sometimes I just want to watch giant robots blow $hit up on the big screen. Big whoop, wanna fight about it?

I enjoyed both of the first 2. Sure I had some complaints, mostly about the childish humor (decepticon balls anyone?), but I knew what I was getting into when I watched them, and enjoyed them for the mindless action they are meant to be.

I thought 3 was a very good movie, saw it tonight at the first showing (7:30).

I dont know what yall are complaining about, I thought #2 was a good movie - not great, but good.

The local theater is supposed to have #3 wednesday, my wife and I have plans to go see it.

Overall, I thought the first 2 movies were good.

Most people that really bag on this movie secretly cried during it. They feel it makes them 'hard' to belittle a simple action movie with a cool theme.

It's like we all know most porn films lack plot, yet some chester has to focus on that aspect in any discussion. Then adds in the fact that his fat ass 'loves the real thing' and then tries to paint the unbelievable painting of himself as some kind of player.

Saw this last night and thought it was pretty damn good. It takes a little bit to get moving, but once it does, it doesn't let up.

Better than the first one hands down. Story is better, camera work is better... everything is better.

My only complaint is that it ends somewhat abruptly.

Saw it last night, pleasantly surprised. I went in with absurdly low expectations after the second (which I thought was absolutely abysmal), and I found the third to be vastly superior. Not an amazing film by any means, but as a popcorn flick, it was pretty solid.

Bay has 5 years to made 3 transformers' movies, and he still can't make a distinguish colors for the Decepticons. At least make Megatron white.

Someone's always gotta make it about race. Evil, white taskmaster, I get it.

I don't care how positive the reviews are, if it's 2.5 hours long I will NOT see it or any other action movie (not just Transformers, which gets a bad rap with a lot of people including me).

Action movies should only rarely be longer than about 100 minutes. Better action:non-action ratio then. Because even with such a huge budget there's no way you can fill 2.5 hours with action sequences. There's bound to be a bunch of pointless, badly written, badly acted filler.

so the fans/audiences could distinguish between the Decepticons Megatron when he is fighting with the autobots during those fast ass action sequences by Bay.

yea nice rules ... history seems to prove you wrong that summer action movies can and are longer than 100 minutes very often, and they do very well.

i love me some long movies. i prefer action/drama movies to be 2+ hours long. comedies i prefer to be closer to the 90 min mark, same with horror.

I think alot of people that criticize the transformers movies have unrealistically high expectations. The graphics were the best ever. They might not have been eyepoppingly game changing as the matrix or jurassic park, but the shear volume and quality of graphics by ILM and whoever else creates the scenes deserves much more respect than you guys are giving the movie.

You want to say the plots are lame. Fine, but what did you think - you were going to get a Schindlers List or Pulp Fiction when the movie is based on old japanese inspired cartoons. I was watching one of the old cartoons with my son and Chip was in a wheelchair outdoors in outer space on a planet with no atmosphere. The decepticons are more numerous, and they can fly so they have every tactical advantage and somehow lose every time...thats where it comes from.

If you go in with no expectations i think you'll find yourself a little more appreciative of the effort involved in making a film this big.

Yeah, what the fuck is up with that? Here you have a race of intelligent robot aliens, and it turns out that all the ones that are capable of flight are evil? How does that make any sense? It's even stupider because in the Bay movie, he shows them transforming into shit based on what they see. All the good guys become cars or trucks; the bad guys have a couple of land vehicles as well, but also some fighter jets and a chopper. What the fuck is that all about? Is there some agreement on Cybertron that anything that flies is evil?

Bot 1: I want to be a racecar!
Optimus: OK, you're a good guy.
Bot 2: I'ma be an airplane!
Optimus: ROBOTS ARE NOT MEANT TO FLY. I CAST THEE OUT!

Or did the good robots just have the misfortune of crashing in a suburban auto-mall as opposed to a military base. And why couldn't they just change later? Bumblebee did. You're telling me Optimus couldn't realize that maybe a semi truck wasn't the ideal vehicle to go after an F-14? If I were him, I'd start telling the autobots to start transforming into something a little more battle-ready than a Camaro. Clearly, he has no business leading troops into battle if he thinks that a Pontiac Solstice is a good match against a tank.

That was one of my big WTFs. No wonder the autobots are always showing up late to fights. And the decepticon that chose to transform into a dump truck when there were plenty of faster vehicles around, wtf man?
