I can honestly say, this game has single-handedly stopped my feelings of Wii-Purchase-Regret.

Here I am--36 stars in to the game and am still smiling and giggling like a 7 year old. The game just keeps getting better and better for me.

What a magnificent achievement this game is. It makes me want to actually thank Nintendo/Miyamoto for making it.

I skipped Prime 3 because of a couple of 360 games I want to finish first, but I decided to pick this up today at Costco, and I'm glad I did.

This game is a system seller, IMO. Neither my sister or I could believe how great the game looks. And the gameplay is awesome, too! Very, very nice use of the controller, not an "afterthought" (as in the slashing in Zelda) and no "gimmicks" (as countless minigame games).

Get a Wii and get this game. You'll have fun, guaranteed.

I read over at the Slickdeals forums that Best Buy is now officially matching TRU's offer. Some people are even getting the $25 off the game instead of the giftcard.

In what way exactly. I only have like 16 stars at the moment and I'm having a good time. My only complaint would be the camera which doesn't keep up with Mario sometimes and it does get on my nerves.

So I picked it up from Best buy who actually pricematched TRU, woo hoo.

I just started but its a little disorienting so far, kinda fun not the overjoyous orgasmic ecstasy everyone is raving about, but maybe it'll pick up soon.

I played a little two player with a friend tonight. You can tell this mode is there so that little kids can get help from grown ups, and it definitely makes it easier that the 2nd player can hold onto enemies or objects. But it is actually pretty fun playing as 2nd player and just shooting enemies or trying to screw up 1st player by making mario jump at the most inopportune time. Overall an enjoyable 2P experience.

Almost to the final boss as far as star collection, still tough to put down at this point; up to now at least it seems like every couple stars you get there is some place new to go check out.

The most important thing is that Mario Galaxy revels in its sense of fun and exploration. The rules of physics don't mean much, and there is always something interesting to see and do; the game makes me feel like I'm 12 years old again and can still get excited about games. As one of our forumgoers put it, "It's so grand and enthusiastic that it could make an emo kid smile and think tomorrow is going to be a better day." This is a game for people who love games.

Accrding to the guy at the Best Buy up the street, the deal at TRU ended at 5pm yesterday? So BB no longer honors it or whatever.

I guess I could call and ask, anyone know if that's true?

My guess is store by store but the TRU thing is good until Saturday

Thanks, went back up and got my $25 GC. Had to do a full return and re-buy it, which kind of sucks, 2 $54 charges on my CC, but I'll get one refunded at least, so I'm gold.
