Europa Universalis is very intriguing at $5.

But, knowing me, I'd never put any time into learning the game and it would sit uninstalled forever.

In my opinion it falls into so many of Steams other deals.....Hell at that price I cant afford not to buy it! (Yes double negative).

I dont know how many games I've bought because "Hell why not at that price!". Bastards.

Nothing really interesting, maybe will grab Grand Age Rome for $2 or Gold for $4. I heard GTAIV doesn't run well on PCs, maybe I should just borrow the PS3 version from a friend if I wanted to play it.

Yea, but at 250+ games (and counting), I really have to put a damper on the stuff I buy. :hmm:

GTA IV can definitely run better on PC's but people try to up the settings too much on their computer that can't handle it because you can allow for a huge amount of people/cars on screen at once and long draw distance. People need to put those things down.

It's a simulation game. Very open ended, no objectives really to attain. You make them up yourself. Last time I played it was just over a year ago and I spent several hours trying to make old school Venice a colonial power, I failed. If you like history and strategy there's a good chance you'll like it, almost like an Empire Simulator like if there was a "Sim Any Empire You Want From The 1500's" game. It isn't for people who need hard set goals or have short attention spans though. It's pretty complicated and has a steep learning curve, I have close to no idea what half the stuff I'm doing right now does haha, but I'm sure I'll catch on.

How bad will Oblivion be on a 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo with Nvidia Quadro NVS140M?(apparently 8400M-GS based) I know it's gonna suck, but how awful will it be?

WHY WON"T THEY PUT CALL OF PRIPYAT ON SALE

I really really want it. The only game I want atm.

If only I could give you mine. I have all three STALKER games and didn't make it an hour into the first one. Not my cup of tea.

I ended up picking up Sniper: Ghost Warrior for 7.50. It's not bad and the graphics are very nice. Probably better than Crysis.

I've run into a few audio glitches so far but otherwise it isn't too bad. Sometimes it's hard to figure out what you're supposed to do and it can be very difficult. There's no inidication of where enemies are unless you've already seen them first and then they show up on your radar as red arrows. The vegetation makes it very difficult to locate enemies.

Europa Universalis is one of the most intense, most brutal strategy games ever made. If you take the time to become acquainted with it's depth, it will make Civ look like a birthday party.

Passed on RUSE due to the price. And passed on Transformers for the same reason. I want cheap games damnit. So I did pick me up some of those Rome and Greek games and Europa, it looked fun and wasn't too bad either from what people who've played it have said.

Didn't buy a single game for the past 3 days. I'm hooked on Recettear at the moment, I'm surprised how fun the game is, a great pickup during the sale
