Even outside, in clear view of the neighbors, they have an AK47. Having a gun out alone should be enough for a police call, but seeing an AK47 would only amplify.
I know a guy who legally owns a pre-ban AK-47. I've fired it in fact. It is semi-auto only but it is an AK-47 (this is California we're talking about here). You can get a license and buy a full auto version in Nevada but they are very expensive and the license is also very expensive.
If I put an AK-47 stock on my MAK-90 you couldn't tell the difference between it and an AK-47. The stupid thumbhole chunk of wood on mine is the only thing that makes my Norinco any different from an AK. There are some minor differences (I don't think an actual AK stock would fit my gun, you would need to shape the wood a bit and drill a hole or two but this is a hunk of wood we're talking about here). I have 10 30 round magazines for it and I can unload a full magazine in less than 10 seconds.
