Around 5% higher IPC in ST versus Tigerlake, RIP intel (at least until Golden Cove). With Cezzane launching AMD will take the low threaded performance crown in mobile too, there will be no stone left unturned.

I underestimated Zen3 IPC back in 2019 (see my sig) by 2.5%, almost nailed it though.

I know it's not really GPU in here but RX6000 looks like it's 10fps behind 3080
No way to tell, her comment on Borderlands 3 4K performance just said "over 60fps in 4K". It's wasn't overly specific as to how much over. (Sorry, it showed 61 average later in a graph).
Another thing to note, she just claimed (AFAIK) it was running on a Radeon 6000 series GPU, never that it was the top dog.

Using TPU's numbers, it's a bit slower than the 3080 in borderlands 3.

However, it's exactly twice as fast as a 5700xt at 4k (in borderlands), and if that's consistent big Navi would be equal to the 3080.

2020 is quite possibly the worse year in Intel history.

They had two competitive advantages in 2019. Laptop CPUs and Gamer CPUs.

They lost laptops earlier in 2020, and now they lost gaming, so they have nothing left for the consumer in CPUs now.

Well on the upside, they will probably not have anymore CPU shortages going forward. ;)

No 5GHz = FAIL /s

The announcement looked to be impressive! Looking forward to the official reviews!

Lisa didn't even say the I word one time....What gives?

Date code on the 5900X was 2035 so that's late August.

Price wise I don't really see any issues. I'll be shopping at Microcenter if I decide to upgrade. Would have been nice to see a 5700X offering in the line up.

This doesn't look good tbh, I don't think Intel will have problems retaking a solid gaming lead with Rocket Lake.

> Wider issue in float and int engines

what?

Yeah I wish they would have gone deeper into the nitty gritty of how they achieved those gains.

If they added a third AVX2 unit, that wouldn't be "widening" the floating point engines right?

All in all though, very impressive numbers from AMD. Intel won't have an answer until Golden Cove most likely.

And the 5600X comes with cooler and the rest do not... how it is they always manage to screw up with the naming?

They actually gave specific numbers, all 4k DX12.

Borderlands 3: 61
COD: Modern warfare 88
Gears ofWar: 73

Seems to be in the middle between the 3080 and 2080ti, and between 85%-100% faster than the 5700xt. It's not terrible, but I was expecting 3080 performance (assuming that this is the top card).
