**Official Rogers Brinks Truck 2018-19 NFL Week 1 Thread**

Sheesh, I know Rogers is the best QB in the game. But my gawd... that contract is sick. I really don't know if I would have paid THAT much. I am a fan of Rogers, though I totally HATE the Packers.

Best in the game? Perhaps seeing his talent and abilities. But in reality, he isn't in the Tom Brady discussion when it comes to all time greatest. Brady isn't some slouch QB riding the tails of Belichick and winning 5 rings. He was the most important player on the field during all 7 Superbowl appearances.

Sorry, Aaron. Win 3 more, and then you can sit at Brady's table.

Anyway, here ya go!

It'll be interesting to see how things go with the new rules. Anyway, GO PATS! Your jealousy tastes so good. And ... haters be hating time.

It's a "why not?" move by Ryan Pace.

If the team doesn't come together he's fired anyway. He doesn't care about the future, only his job.

Other than the Redskins winning and NFCE teams all losing, I hope that the Vikings go 0-16 and Kirk Cousins does awful. Good riddance.

I don't have high expectations for the season, I just don't want the Broncos to be dead last in the division. Making the playoffs would be the best I could hope for really

Your division is wide open. Washington can realistically take it, because Philly has no QB right now, IMO. They're starting a backup, and then there's the pressure to repeat since they aren't sneaking up on anyone this year.

I see Smith as a lateral move. He's not better, and certainly isn't any worse than Cousins.

I also saw the Vikings as somewhat of a lucky and overachieving team last year. Kase Keenum was the Matt Cassel of 2011. They'll fall back to earth I believe.

Philly also had no QB for their playoff run last year, so I'm not going to disrespect Foles like that. Plus Wentz is probably going to be back shortly.

I agree though that the division is kind of wide open. All teams seem pretty mediocore at the current time, and I'd say that the Cowboys are probably the worst on paper.

Julio Jones got hosed by the refs in perhaps the biggest catch of the game (should've been). Otherwise not much going on in the game.

I think you mean 2010 Matt Cassel (or maybe 2008)?

I stopped watching, It sucks. Football is just terrible now.

Doesn't help that both QBs tonight look like practice squad scrubs but remember PHI and ATL are a couple of the best defenses in the game so a lot of that seeming QB ineptness is actually a reflection of that. The Falcons defense is fast as hell and that Eagles front 7 is beastly. That being sad Matt Ryan's passes lacked any zip and his arm strength seems questionable. The 50 yard incomplete pass (that was actually a catch but for bad refereeing) would have been an easy TD had it not been horrendously underthrown. He honestly looked like Peyton Manning in his last few games out there, hopefully this is just a slow start and he shakes off rust and does OK rest of season but this is a really bad game 1 for him. ATL fans will be calling for his head if he this lasts more than another game or 2 and Offensive Coordinator Sark may be sacked regardless, his play calling tonight was inexcusable.

Yeah I know....football is fine. I'm just tired of it all, I think. 😀 I can't really watch late games anymore as it is. Now this one started just after 9. What do I look like, a spry 26 year-old!
