Seachickens won a super bowl and went to another one just 3 years ago, and have been in the playoffs 11 of the past 15 years, cry me a river (go lions)

You must be a Browns fan...😛

FWIW, going to the playoffs doesn't mean shit if they can't finish and go all the way.

So many mistakes by both teams make the game interesting. That said Seattle is a very different team from years prior and doesn't scare anybody.

Yeah, certainly wasn't a clean game... but it's week 1 I guess. Hope Keenum doesn't continue to throw picks at that rate though.

Unless you’re the Pissburgh fucking Steelers and can’t manage to beat the Browns...even in overtime.

I’m shocked at the ending of that game...almost glad I didn’t have to watch it.
I’ve bled black and Yellow for about 60 years...and have had to endure some terrible seasons...but the fucking Browns?

I'm happy for the Browns given their streak of losses particularly on opening day

Pretty good drive by the Bears. Hopefully they can break their streak of mediocre QB play

I have this theory that every city has a limited amount of pro-sports karma to spread out to all their teams, and the Blackhawks have used almost all of Chicago's in recent years leaving the Bears to have nothing. The Blackhawks had a terrible season though, so I think it's starting to transfer over to the Bears.

Like Willis Reed back onto the field....except this isn't a playoff game. Game has become awesome, finally. Bears D looks solid as hell, though.

Redskins looked great today, but they do that every season for the past 3 or 4 years, then finish all mediocre, or manage to get pushed to the top of the dumpster fire that has been the NFC Least. Alex Smith looks like a good fit for the team so far, though. Kinda spreads out and extends their long-developing plays, like they usually run with Thompson.

So, do those Cleveland bars get access to the free beer Bud Light fridges with a tie, or is it just a tease for the fans?

Good grief. I figured he was out for good - not that he would throw (3) 4th quarter TDs. Thats what I get for going to bed I guess.

Glad to see it wasn't bad enough for him to stay sidelined

I didn't watch the game but from what I've read this morning the Bears coaching staff couldn't adjust to the changes GB threw at them.

And it sounds like GB was not prepared for Mack at all.

What would you rather have? In a 10 year span, a team that wins a superbowl but never makes the playoffs in the other 9 years or a team that makes the playoff 10 years in a row but never makes it past the first round or 2nd round?

This is a really dumb question. The SB win of course. The whole goal of a team is to win the Championship, not come in 12th or 8th place or whatever.

For 10 years, your team will have better attendance (more team revenue - possibly attract and afford better players??? ) and you have something to root for....

Well, it should have been two except for that freak play that still gives me nightmares.

Was really hoping the cash from letting Sherman go would by us an o-line. Instead we get Germain "Olè" Ifedi. And Wilson has definitely lost a step after he put on weight to deal with taking all those sacks.

Hand it to Marshawn Lynch again? Nah...I’ll pass... 🙄

I remember that super bowl, and I seem to recall two freak plays in a row. The first one got Seattle in range for a touchdown. The second lost them the ball. So it's hard to say that they "should have won". If they had made a touchdown people would be saying that they should have lost.
