I didn't watch the game but from what I've read this morning the Bears coaching staff couldn't adjust to the changes GB threw at them.

And it sounds like GB was not prepared for Mack at all.

I think they took Mack out of the game with their quick passes. He was winded as well, according the observations of analysts.

I think the Bears went into the Jim Caldwell shell of "playing not to lose" trying to protect a 20-point lead. I've seen that way too many times with the Lions.

Glad to see the Vikes picking up where they left off last year. Cousins looked decent and the D is once again top notch.

We'll see next week when they play Rogers. They actually tried to choke that game away yesterday. All those three-and-outs were killing them. Niners also didn't help, with those two brutal INTs Garappalo threw, and deadly drops. They could have won. I know Jimmy G had three picks total, but the other was on the WR falling down.

Yes although as the game goes on I'm noticing it less. But that could also be the numbness from the game

I muted the sound about 10 minutes ago...her inflection was just getting too much....I think she was trying to make herself sound like Chris Berman....

Oh, Matt Cassel got to go in and throw almost as many INTs as completions. Have fun with that Matt Patricia. I hope Stafford gets a chance to go somewhere else before the end of his career. Or you'll end up like Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson.

Not even sure what you mean. Whether he does good or bad will have no effect on me, but I'm just hoping he does bad out of spite.

You will in a couple of years.

No, I got that. It definitely suits you as a person, so I guess there's that.

Whatever. I'm all for more football games that are viewable. Having 1 extra game to watch a week with TNF is way better than not having one. It definitely sucks for the players though.

Thursday night games are consistently trash. I believe there was even some analysis that they seem to bring increased injury. Fuck TNF

Unless you’re the Pissburgh fucking Steelers and can’t manage to beat the Browns...even in overtime.

I’m shocked at the ending of that game...almost glad I didn’t have to watch it.
I’ve bled black and Yellow for about 60 years...and have had to endure some terrible seasons...but the fucking Browns?

Oh yes you poor baby Steelers fan.

This is a really dumb question. The SB win of course. The whole goal of a team is to win the Championship, not come in 12th or 8th place or whatever.

So when do you think the Redskins will draft a QB to get them there?

rofl...the skins need MUCH more than just a qb to get to the super bowl...

for a team that spent so much trying to refocus on the run game, calling a shotgun play on 3rd and 1 seems rather odd...smh

Eh it's his first game and is one game out of a 16 game season. As per usual, fans overreact. Shocker.

It's not really Patricia's fault that Stafford threw 4 picks. He should have probably been out of the game before he could have thrown that 4th pick though, the game was over before that throw.

Its the way they looked. Had this been a last second FG loss, I would totally agree with you. But when a team looks totally unprepared like they did, especially on offense, with no running game and no passing yards in the first quarter, that's on the coaching staff and cohesion with WRs. Stafford had no passing yards in the first quarter.

I can't blame that on all on Stafford. He was given a game plan. Also, the Jets claimed that they knew the Lions plays. That is on coaching.

well, browns are gonna lose it, but the game was a lot closer than i thought it would be

edit: holy crap, i'll take a tie! first browns opening game that's NOT a loss in the past 14 years.
