You get the times in Virginia? I didn't realize it was that well circulated.

I do believe they have a website, why yes they do. I find it funny you feel the need to check my profile to determine if I read the print edition.

Actually no, I figured that you would provide us with a link if it was available. I honestly that they maybe distributed it that far. Why so defensive man?

And why is this stickied?

It is stickied because there were about half a dozen Fahrenheit 9/11 threads circulating in ATOT. All but this one got locked, and this got stickied.

NO NO NO! I heard on NPR that "one New York Times reporter even gave the movie a scathing review"...I'm not sure if it was the official review or an op-ed piece on the movie...trying to find a link!

Heh, me too hopefully. I also hope they carry this flick in my city this weekend because I actually want to see it. I don't agree with the guy usually but it does promote more interesting conversation than Dodgeball.

Saw the movie. It was about what I expected, having seen his other films.

Moore fans will dig it, Bush fans will hate it, documentary filmmakers will debate endlessly about why the heck can't he edit his things down - and yet he still wins that darned Cannes award.

And yes, we have relatives in Charlottesville VA, and they get the NY Times every day. They don't get the NYC ads, though.

This movie looks great. I hate Bush and I'm sure I'll hate him even more after watchin' this!
Well, then, you'll be doing exactly what Michael Moore wants you to do. I thought the point of life was to develop your own opinions and *not* be heavily influenced by those such as Michael Moore?

Your right about the point of life, but is it all of a sudden not cool to have an open mind to someone else's opinion?

I hate Bush with a passion, yet I'm very interested to see what MM has in store, not because I totally believe in him, its because I like the way he tells it.

Rofl you like the way he lies? That comment makes no sense. We all know that Michael Moore fabricates the majority of the 'facts' in his movies and yet the reason you like him is because you 'like the way he tells it'. Please explain that as I'm trying to figure out what it is that you mean exactly. Do you like hearing lies that you know are lies? Do you tell people that the KKK became the NRA because it was in a 'documentary' by a guy so it must be true? (well, it was something like that... KKK-->NRA I think is how it went)[/quote]

Well, considering that was not the point of the Short History of America...and the fact Michael Moore is a member of the NRA. He is just a man that likes to bring to our attention what no others will. He has very strong beliefs of our government/society being messed up and like to share them.

I'm sure this is troll bait but Michael Moore loves America. He just chooses to question things in it rather than love it like a 4 year old child would his mother...

Why make this the official topic when it is about the minority opinion of the movie? Most reviews have had only praise for it, yet someone goes and finds a negative one and it shoots to the top.

Yes he does love America. It's his motivation for showing what he thinks is wrong with it.
