I know this will sound sarcastic and I don't mean it to. What are Republicans views on Syria? Giuliani and speakers all seemed pretty fired up for increasing troops but Trump says none, he'll let Russia handle Syria or did he say more troops or was it fewer troops. I'm really confused what is their policy now?

I'm honestly surprised you're so drawn to this and reporting on it. I've never wasted time watching a convention from either party.

Usually I'm not.

I must be a bit bored to be honest. It is a bit of an unusual year also.

MSNBC is declaring much of Melania(?) Mrs. Trump speech was lifted from Michelle Obama's speech from 2012. I just heard nearly the same words were used just jumbled around a bit.

Trump hired the best speech writers all the best no expense was sparred. Best people doing what they do best.

I'd be surprised if they have a policy at all in reality, other than what is all ready in place and appears to be work as far as terrorism.

Daesh seems to be going WTF at the moment, and the attacks have been rare and lone wolf.

I'm honestly surprised there has not been many more attacks in the last decade.

I just started watching tonights rerun on C-Span.
Did Trump really pulled an Alfred Hitchcock behind that shadow screen?
I never before realized Trump, as with Hitchcock, casted a shadow one would only recognize as Donald Trump.
I wonder if this is how he enters the dinning room in his home.
All the kids and wife Melania sitting at the table, and the shadow screen lights up with the image of Donald standing behind it.
AND NOW FAMILY, YOUR FATHER AND HUSBAND HIMSELF, MR DONALD J. TRUMP.
(applause applause)
Dinner time at the old Trump household. Go figure.

30 minutes into this and I honestly believe if I watch anymore of this, I will need one on one professional psychiatric help come tomorrow morning.

Proof we are truly living in a bad Twilight Zone episode.

And poor Bob Dole.
Poor guy... He thinks he's at a LED Zeppelin‎ concert.
It's a bitch getting old, and feeble.

PS.
Gotta admit. A GREAT night for religious bigots.
Only thing lacking from Melanie's shiny white dress is her matching shiny white hood.

CNN is reporting that as well. I believe it was her 2008 speech, not 2012. Melania also can be seen saying she wrote the speech herself with as little outside help as possible. Of course, nothing on Fox, they're waiting to see how Trump "spins it" first I'm guessing.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Stephen Colbert had John Stewart on. John Stewart released Colbert. No the real Colbert.
Who then did "The Word"

https://www.yahoo.com/tv/colbert-jon-stewart-donald-trump-trumpiness-042115875.html

It was great to see Colbert back on the air even for one segment.

Oh the word was "trumpiness" similar to "truthiness" but from lower down the intestinal tract. :D

Way to start a convention...Possible First Lady plagiarizes her first speech.

She did spend all that time roughing it modeling clothes there awhile.

Give her a break, she's had a rough life just hanging out.

I imagine she has had a high heel incident in the past maybe that needed immediate repair, and was a major issue at the time.

Can I drive the truck yet ?

Trump claims credit for Cleveland pick made 11 months before his campaign started

Donald Trump said Monday night on Fox News that he “recommended Ohio” for the 2016 GOP convention. Which is odd, since Cleveland was selected more than two years ago.

“People fought very hard that it be in Ohio. It's a tremendous economic development event and you look at the way it's going so far, it's very impressive. I wanted it to be here. The Republicans wanted it to be here," Trump said. "I recommended Ohio."

The Republican National Committee announced its final decision July 8, 2014 — a good 11 months before Trump threw his hat in the ring.
What’s more, the New York Times, citing two anonymous aides, reported earlier this month that Trump “at one point” didn’t know the convention had to be in Cleveland.

“At one point, two aides confirmed, Mr. Trump was not even aware that the event had to be held in Cleveland, a decision made almost two years ago by the Republican National Committee,” the Times reported.

:D

Because he has the best brain, a very very good brain.

Yes I do. Seems it has become SOP a bit, as odd as it is.

Most of the music they play at the convention, the guys playing it would spit in their face.

And now "We are the Champions"

Don't play Queen you assholes, you don't deserve it.

What really sucks is that Brian May from Queen has already made public statements that Trump hasn't asked for or been granted permission to use the song in his campaign...

The brown nosed tea tard sycophants attempting to defend Trump's unauthorized use of Queen's copyrighted work probably don't have a clue that Freddie Mercury was gay, out and proud of who he was.

Somehow, I doubt whether Freddie Mercury and the surviving members of the band would want their work associated with the bigots, haters, mysogynists and self-agrandizing fundamentalist wingnuts who now dominate the Republican party.

Good job of vetting your choices, Trump! :hmm:

They were playing the Stones earlier in the night as walk-in music, hope Trump gets sued it'd be hilarious.

Because he has the best brain, a very very good brain.

And he will pick the best people to handle things...like his wife's speechwriter. :D

It could be that Trump is tone deaf. If so, his best defense would be the truth -- He is of "unsound" mind. ^_^

How was the use of the music unauthorized?
Wouldn't the convention have ASCAP / BMI licenses? I think that covers them, boss. Unless, of course the artist issues a formal objection and demand to cease use.

Hey Harvey, long time no see. Welcome back.

Thanks. I've been here, but as a senior admin, I spend more time cleaning up after spammers and other malicious idiots. They're enough to keep our crew busy.

In case anyone doesn't remember where I'm at on the subject...
