I was playing some multiplayer last night (gang match) and went to take cover behind something. As soon as I hit the object, I was flung a few hundred feet into the air almost instantly. Needless to say, I died when I fell to the ground. Anyone else experience this (I haven't read the whole thread)?

Yeah, someone the other night who I was playing with went airborne for no reason.
 
you can't lasso chickens or cows, but you can lasso a bull and and kind of slide around behind it as it runs away, but it seems to only last a few seconds as I then fell over. Also, bulls will charge you, so be careful!

No bull riding? That's odd... I believe there are unlockable bull mounts in multiplayer (from what it looks like) so it'd be weird if you couldn't have one in single player.
 
So the wanker that purchased my Golden Guns code claims it's invalid and says it was used and I'm trying to scam him. I know for a fact that I didn't use the code, so how do I know he's not trying to scam me and that he used it and now wants his money back so he can have a free code?

You don't, which is why you should make all code sales final with no option for refund or return.

I had a similar problem before with a PS3 code and it turned out the guy had already redeemed a different code for the same thing and was trying to redeem another one hoping he could share it (by selling it) with 4 other people.



I am having a hell of a time trying to connect to Free Roam right now and it's pretty frustrating. I get an alert that I am having connection issues with other players and so it kicks me from the session (before I am even connected) and then spits me out into an infinite loading screen for Free Roam. Frustrating.
 
have you guys found nay unlimited spawning sections? i had that happen on my first mission at hanging rock with bandits and then I found a place with some cannon that endlessly spawning wolves.
 
I'm getting very frustrated by the random encounters in the wild. Every time I come up upon someone causing trouble and I have to kill the bad guys, I have no clue who the bad guys are and end up shooting the good guy and losing honor every time. Very very frustrating. Also the quick help me my family member is in trouble gives you HARDLY any time at all to react before they die. Kind of lame.
 
Wow, I didn't think anything of that golden gun preorder gimmick, but after reading here about people selling it, I eBayed it for $20. Then I also got that amazon $20 credit pre-order bonus. What might be what I think is the best Xbox 360 single-player game (so far) for $20 at release is not bad at all. 🙂

So true. I've done 2 of the "quick, they're gonna hang my spouse!" missions and the spouse died both times. I don't even know what I'm supposed to do...do I just have to kill the bad guys or do I have to cut or shoot the rope only or both?

Some of the stranger missions suck too. Its like "my spouse is missing, go look for him/her at X location". when you get there, no one is there and nothing to show that he/she was there.

The times I've done that, there was a pool of blood, some bones, and a piece of clothing.

The last time I did one of those missions where they are hanging the wife the damn husband walked right in from of me as I was shooting at one of the baddies and I capped him in the the back of the head. Instant loss of 200 honor points.

You have to shoot the rope they're hanging on. It's pretty tough when you're getting shot at though, so you have to either shoot the rope fast enough or shoot everybody else fast enough to get the rope at the end.

Not the planned strangers missions that get logged in your journal, he means the random people on the side of the road things.
 
I really hate going out and doing stuff, not saving and then dying. I just spent like 30 minutes hunting some wolves and skinning them only to be surprise attacked by 2 cougars and killed. I had a ton of pelts and stuff and now it's all gone...

oh, and don't accidentally shoot your horse in the head trying to shoot a wolf that's attacking you...you lose 50 honor!

seems like the best thign to do vs. wolves is either go on foot and use the knife or ride away to get some distance then shoot.

oh, if you save the sheriff in Tumbleweed, do you get anything special? I untied him but then he died in the fight against the mansion bandits...

Yeah, I wish there was an easier way to save then to camp or use a bed. Would make life a lot easier when you're out there doing stuff that doesn't autosave.

Why does the loss of honor bother you? That shit's easy to get back.

because it's dumb that an accident causes it. i don't seem to be gettign a whole lot of honor.
 
Maybe it's just because I've been doing a lot of the story fairly quickly, but it seems pretty easy to get. I've put in about 8 hours or so, and have had plenty of 'oops' moments that cause a loss of honor and I still maxed out my honor today. Helping random strangers as well as the scripted strangers help out quite a bit.
 
For a quick way of saving the game, buy two horses. The deeds show up in your inventory and when you select a new horse, it will do a quick save for you.
