kabob and his merry men!

Win!!!

getting back on track.. with the hype on this game.. are we going to have a deticated night?

Definitely a release get together, I'd be all for a dedicated night but I think my wife might murder me if I try...we'll see. I may be able to squeeze one in though. If so what night?

Ya know, for all these ideas you're throwing around you might as well go ahead and admit that you're going to pre-order the game. Just do it and get it over with!

im pretty much going to pre-order it at this point. i can just see this game fading out of play after a month. just trying to see it out.

people from here will go back to mw2 or something after a month. and to be sucessfull/enjoyable you are going to need a good group of people to play with to make the online seem good. so once everyone quits its going to go downhill quick.

thats whats holding be back. but if there is always people playing it... it will shine. im just on the fence..

I understand but there's one redeeming quality I see: Looking at the vids of the multiplayer reminds me of Gears of War. Gears of War multiplayer was overly simple; teams, kill each other, not many guns, etc. That was one of my favorite multiplayer games of all time. Hopefully the joy will keep on coming but I understand where you're coming from.

Free co-op DLC

Rockstar said:
In addition to the deep single player campaign and robust online multiplayer components of Red Dead Redemption, we are also very happy to finally reveal the game’s co-op mode, which will be released FREE in June simultaneously for both consoles via Xbox LIVE® and PlayStation®Network, respectively.

The Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack will feature six all-new cooperative multiplayer missions to play with 2-4 players. This will be a completely free download that we will have ready for you to download and play at some time in June.

These six explosive and epic missions will play out across the game world, including:

“Walton’s Gold”
Walton’s Gang have taken control of a mining camp rich with gold. Fight through the camp and load your mine cart with as much gold as you can carry and get out as fast as you can – Walton’s boys have rigged the place to blow!

“The River”
Ride a raft down river, taking out rebel encampments along the way until you reach the rebel stronghold of Nosalida and a final epic battle for the town’s massive weapons caches. Watch out for Gatling gun-equipped enemy rafts.

“Ammunition”
The Mexican Army has the town of Tesoro Azul under siege. Storm the gates under heavy cannon, Gatling gun and sniper fire to destroy the Mexican artillery placements.

Plus three more missions to be revealed in detail soon.

The Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack will also yield additional multiplayer XP rewards, and brand new Achievements/Trophies to unlock.

Stay tuned for much more information – as well as release information and pricing on two further downloadable content updates, which we plan to release over the summer. Both of them will also be available simultaneously for both consoles.

Really looking forward to playing with some actual people for once. I accidently bought 2 years worth of XBL Gold this last round and I haven't played anything online other than the Blur beta. 😳

what skins are there? mexican? american? indian?

Looking at the vids it looks at all 3 of those along with females verions of those mentioned above and various outfits for all. Wouldn't surprise me if there are even more choices, it's just all I've seen thus far.

I had only heard that this game was basically a western themed GTA until I saw this thread.

I did some more research and it looks pretty damn fun!

Count me in fellas

Edit: Being the cheap ass gamer that I am, I selected the free shipping from amazon so I'll be online about 5 days after the rest of you, but I'll catch up quick 🙂

it's pLmpjuice for XBL, right?

I understand being cheap and I think you'll get it 5 days or less after. On bigger releases though they don't start processing free shipping orders until later. My buddy bought MW2 with free shipping and their expected delivery date was something like 2 weeks after release.

since you are being cheap.. sign up for the free trial of amazon prime.. u will get it delivered release day for free..

thats what i did.

Quick question. I preordered about 2 weeks ago on Amazon when it was a $10 gift card with pre order. Now they're offering $20 it appears. Will I get that deal as well or will I have to cancel my pre order and redo it?

Yes sir, its pLmpjuice

looking forward to it, I just saw a video of the multiplayer on youtube. I think I'll really enjoy the different theme.

Just search for "Red Dead Redemption - Multiplayer (Competitive)" on youtube to see it.
