I gotta be the only person who liked the Horizon Zero Dawn story.
I loved it. I preordered Elden Ring long ago but will be playing H:FW first for sure.

The story started off somewhat interesting but then I just got lost and didn't seem to get that feeling of "I want to see what happens next".I gotta be the only person who liked the Horizon Zero Dawn story. And the only one who liked the Dying Light 1 story too lol.

Another YouTuber I watch also mentions he really enjoyed the story compared to the first one.
I actually finished Dying light 1 this past weekend and while it was a lot of it was go here, fetch this and then the inevitable happens, the ending was disappointing, including what happens in the DLC the Following. I can see the difference now with dying light 2 in how they attempted to improve the narrative.
I chose the other option to my surprise, I knew something wasn't right about that one either. I heard there is also another ending but I will have to look that one up on YouTube. It wasn't terrible for a story but it could have been a lot better.Did you nuke Harran?

Similarly I liked days gone gameplay a lot but the story took forever to pick up. That's another title I need to go back and finish but I'm sure my roommate at the time finished it on my PSN account and I don't feel like starting that one over.
Really enjoyed the Digital Foundry analysis for Forbidden West. They actually recommend playing this one on the PS5 in resolution mode rather than performance mode.
Looks like the Cyberpunk PS5 upgrade is available now.
Interesting... I'm curious to see what sort of improvements we see with it. Open world games certainly seem like they'd benefit the most from fast access to assets.
So if I completed the squats level at age 33, I start the second level at 33 which is the club.JFC I had a near perfect run to the second form of the Sean boss fight (boss of the second stage) in Sifu, reaching his second form at age 21 after dominating his first form, and still couldn't close the deal. Ugh this game is just kicking my teeth in lol. For the first time I'm too frustrated with it to go back.
If I start over at the first level and I end up finishing it at a younger age does that replace the age I start with in the club level?
Ugh three hours to download Forbidden West. Guess I ain't playing this tonight.
Were you able to get the PS5 upgrade for free?
I'll be picking up my PS4 copy around noon today. Won't have time to play tonight since my girlfriend is taking me out for my birthday but I'm looking forward to get into it this weekend.
I saw a little bit of ACG's walking the walk video and it looks like the details in the world are really well done this time.
Thanks! The ps4 version is a two disc game. I put in the data disc and then it started copying stuff over but it's easy to go to the product page and select the PS5 version that you have to agree to "buy".Happy Birthday!
Will be picking mine up soon if I can get a few minutes between meetings.
I haven't played it yet but I do recall digital foundry saying it should be played in graphics mode instead. I think open world games like this with environments like grassy planes end up looking blurry in performance mode.Is it me or is the upscale in performance mode horrendous in Forbidden West on PS5? It looks like when I run the Nvidia Image Scaler upscaler with the sharpening turned way too high. This doesn't even look like 1440p much less 1800p. The palm trees and some of the grass are just straight ugly with this upscaler. And I have already done the shut the game down and restart twice to apply the hotfix for shimmering as Guerilla Games recommended.
