memory i have is 2 x 1 GB OCZ Performance ( OCZ4002048PFDC-K)
if memory is compatable what is recommended settings for this system?
i am haveing to use the onboard video for now as i havent purchased a video card for the system.
3800+ x2 (stock speed)
scsi drive
dvdrom , dvd burner
ax500 fortron
everything at stock speed , etc
system is unstable at this time ,
hugs

Maximum would be 2.9-3.0V...however I highly recommend you try 2.5 - 2.6V on them....my sticks clock the best at much lower voltage.Originally posted by: Link19
What is the maximum safe VCORE for the OCZ PC4000 EB Platinum Edition rated at 3-3-2-8 2*1GB sticks?
I have mine set at 2.85V and it seems very stable. How high of voltage do you have to go to risk damaging the RAM?

Yes...my pair will run 270 at 2.55 - 2.6V and it will run 250 (DDR500) at 2.42V (I have the expert which goes that low).
If your's are not stable at 2.5V, that is fine...you are fine at 2.85V also....I just suggested that you try lower.....lower is always better, less heat, etc 😀

Hey Jen
The memory you have should work just fine on the board you have. I don't think you'll have to make adjustments to the timings, but you can check these ones.
cas 3
tras 7
trcd 3
trp 3
1T/2T @ 1T
Make sure the memory divider is at 1:1 and you should be all set 🙂

I have an Ultra-D NF4 / opty 165 / and OCZ value VX with the bh5 chips.
my OCZ can do 200 FSB 2-2-2-6 with 3.0v , but anything higher then 200 FSB is a pain.
i'm currently on the 704-2bt bios.
right now i'm running my ram @ 229FSB 2-2-2-6 (280HTT w/ a 166 divider)
CPC enabled
trc @ 14
trfc @ 16
trrd @ 4
twr @ auto
trtw @ 2
tref @ 3120
twcl @ 1
dbi @ enabled
i am not actively cooling the ram.
so what i'm trying to get at is what bios should i use?
At what voltage should i start actively cooling?
nd what are the average settings for OCZ value VX?
i'm just trying to push it to a stable 239 FSB with a 2-2-2-6 timing which shouldn't be to hard to do judging from other peoples results.
***update***
i tried cooling my ram with a large room fan and it put me stable @ 229 FSB 2-2-2-6 3.0v with the settings above
how ever i tried 239 and i get errors on superpi on core1 , i've tried 3.0v to 3.3v and it had no luck.
I've superpi'd my processor to 2.6Ghz and the ram cannot pass memtest at 239, suggestions?

steve,
i was wondering what kind of FSB could i expect on these OCZ dual channel sticks and at what voltage?

What's the OCZ memory that would give me most flexibility in doing this???
THANKS!
