Seriously though, I was suprised to see JT get thrown out on a misconduct like that. The officials were terrible the rest of the game too.

i agree... i saw the play and i think there should have been a penalty but a misconduct? hmm. the fans apparently gave Thornton an ovation when he was announced so i think the game initially had a feel-good vibe to it as opposed to a nasty one. as Thornton was leaving the ice he looked pretty concerned to me.

scary... that guy only gets like 14 mins a game too compared to Ovy/Crosby's near 20 mins. But Svatos does play with some big names.

AO has yet to get a hattrick despite having ridiculous amounts of chances every night. It's a matter of time...

it's sweet how nhl.com added that HUGE hit by Ovechkin on Vishnevsky (sp?) into the highlights too. LOL, I can't believe the season he is having!! :shocked:

three sweet afternoon games today, great day for hockey!

I haven't heard from Insane3D in a while... 🙁 damn dude, are they going to shake things up in Boston soon or what? I think it's time for a coaching change at least! I'm hoping they pull a win or at least get a point today! Rootin' for ya buddy! 😛

Yeah the B's aren't looking too good. They lost to my Sharks 6-2, then lost the next game against the Kings 6-0. That's a rough week.
 
it's tough when the team is struggling and you're a loyal fan. it can be so many subtle things - chemistry, running into hot goalies (or your tenders being cold), offense not producing, etc. etc. of course, sometimes the team is just plain bad.

think of how life for Oilers fans is. Sure, the Oil are playing good hockey and hanging in there in terms of the divisional race, but the paranoia of barely missing the playoffs looms for the fans due to recent years!! :Q
