The Flyers are doing very well on their 11-game road trip. Today they lost in a shootout to the struggling Capitals, but they still get a point. 🙂 Their next game will be on Monday against Boston.

hey rh71... an interesting stat was shown on TSN... who would be the goal-scoring leader if shootout goals were included... 😉 the current front-runner for the Calder (imho)... OVECHKIN.

they were showing a lot of his hits between the 1st and 2nd too... I hate to say it but some of his hits are just as nice as his goals 🙂

Kovalchuk with a hattrick tonight (30) to take the NHL goal scoring lead from Gagne (29). And to think he missed a bunch of games holding out at the beginning of the season too... the guy is a scoring machine.

And to think 41 was the Richard Trophy winners (tied with Nash I think) last season they played... they're not even half-way through.
 
Svatos with a hat trick tonight! The Calder Trophy race is getting tight! Svatos and Ovechkin tied for most goals for a rookie.

One heck of a war going on in the Northwest Division. 5 teams with 11 point sepearating the top from the bottom in that division. Altlantic Division is a bit of a joke in terms of competition. Nearly a 30 point spread.
