Ya, Markennen played as well as Roloson. Goal tending certainly wasn't the issue for the Oilers(at least with these 2 goalies).

Eh... tomorrow's another year. We'll see what the draft brings... what trades are made. I'll be back to being a Lightning fan (but also a closet Stillman fan) until the playoffs.

Maybe they'll make it.... maybe they won't... but one fact remains.....

Next year's another season! 😀 Thank God for Hockey!

Woot...... the draft is in my town (Vancouver) and I have 4 tickets 🙂

Last time I went was in 90' (also in vancouver) when we picked Peter Nedved 2nd 😛 We could have had Jaromir Jagr 🙁

Crazzzzzy game/series. Good job to Carolina, they outplayed the Oil tonight and earned the cup. The Oilers had quite the run, I don't think you can ask for a "better"(or more gut-wrenching) way to go down. Game 7, losing by 1 goal, coming from the 8th seed. Kudos to the Oilers, they had a great season, and congrats to the 'Canes.

Back to an Avs/Ducks fan for me 🙂

I actually haven't been able to watch because everytime I did, the Oilers would score. I was the reason we lost three games and damn if I didn't turn the game on in the third period and not one minute later Edmonton scored. Anyways, this is exactly what Carolina needs to get the community excited about hockey. You can be sure next year (when there isn't any football on) I will be tuned in to some Canes hockey.

lol! Hopefully I won't drag the Hurricanes down next season, but if hockey is anything like football, getting a repeat championship won't be easy.

The cup is down south, well, for tonight, then the players go back to where they actually come from.
Will the canes winning the cup even make front page news in Carolina? I'm taking wagers now!

Okay, they played well enough to get it, but they aren't even a goddamn hockey town.

They didn't have the whole city's emotions tied on this game like we did.
