Because he pretty much just went where the money is, so despite him being a talented scorer we now get to relish every time he doesn't show up to play, which is quite often (especially last year).

See, this is what I mean when I say that I expect the fans to be idiots. When you say that he "pretty much went where the money is" despite the fact that he turned down more money from the Thrashers because he wanted to go to a winning team, it's stupid. When you say that "he doesn't show up to play", you sound like an spurned lover who copes with rejection by trashing their ex. That's why you're a fan, not a paid analyst.

Maybe he is injured then. I didn't listen to the PxP but from what I saw Sunday he didn't have much jump. *shrug*

I really can't bag on him yet though. He's only played 17 playoff games in his career so far. As the saying goes "You earn your money during the regular season. You earn your reputation during the playoffs."

It's hard to have jump when you're skating on a pulled groin. It's Jones's job to point that out instead of taking a childish jab at a player he doesn't like for some reason. Oh well, that's why he's a shitty analyst.

You know how every playoff you see a guy you normally don't get to watch play a lot, and he really impresses you?

Kopitar is that guy for me this year. I really like that guy's game.

I wasn't sure who I would pull for after the Hawks got knocked out, but's it's definitely LA.

Screw the Blues. They had a little success this year for the first time in a long time, get schooled in a playoff game, and punk out like a bunch of sissies.

Are these the Blues announcers?

Kovalchuk's been mostly pretty damn good this season, but it sure was easy to push your buttons. I don't know how you can defend his performance last season, though. He managed to turn it on toward the end with the rest of the team, but he had more than enough games where he just did not show up, and if you can't see that then I really have to question your integrity as a paid analyst. Trust me, there is no love lost from LA fans after what we saw last year.

I find it laughable the amount of stock you even give paid analysts with so much of the shit so many of them spew. Why don't we just put Mike Millbury up on a pedestal and make him the the final word on all opinions hockey related.

His defense has been absolutely godly every game. It's great to see him score some goals.

Sure seems like it, eh? I'll never understand why the media hates on LA so much.

Hope the fly guys go up 2-0 after tonight, got tickets to the Nashville game Wednesday it will be my first playoff game. If Nashville drops this game the series is over IMO.

Saw the Devils Flyers tilt. More competitive than I expected, though the Devils did get dominated late, they will need to play better but they could make it a long series.

Fuck Keith Jones for ripping Kovalchuk. The guy is obviously playing injured and can barely skate. Sit him for game 2 and hope he can heal a bit, replace Volchenkov with Larsson, and hope Josefson can come back soon.

Kovalchuk will not play in game 2. Looks like Peter Harrold is moving up to wing on the fourth line, Bernier on the third line, Larsson replacing Harrold on defense.

We've gotta win Wednesday. Not only to stay in it but I was really hoping this would be one of those 6 or 7 game series grind fests. If Nashville can win the 2 at home we may be in for a fun ride.

Apparently Radulov and Kostitsyn have been told to sit game 3... Poile gave no reason as to why

Violation of team rules. Lol Radulov and AK46 spotted in a bar in Scottsdale past midnight Saturday. Team was staying in Glendale 45 minutes away. I guess that would explain why they both looked so lethargic Sunday night. Hungover hockey, I'm sure it looks great in Slap Shot but not so much in the playoffs. Now I wonder who else was with them because the rest of the team looked slack ass too.

Hopefully this will result in something positive out of the rest of the guys.

Now that Kovi's confirmed out Jones should man up and apologize. On air.

BAHAHAHAHA!

Selfish muckin' forons...

2nd time I have seen Philly out of sync since the playoffs have started (last time was the drubbing pitt put on them).

they will rebound.. I expect more from them.

Really? I thought it looked painful. Total collapse of D by the blues.
Really. I knew things would get chippy after LA went up by three goals.

It almost felt like an 'anti-playoffs' game. Terrible defense, emotions out of control, and Oshie & Backes run amok.
