Seems like the 8 days off must have really just thrown something off here. I thought we'd get better with the return of Gill... not worse.

Let's see, Miller, Ruff and Sedin. Yeah, those aren't 3 of the whiniest people associated with the NHL or anything. The problem with that shit is it was Miller, who is a complete bitch, and not someone anyone outside of Buffalo (except for maybe in the Olympics) wants to see succeed.
You're preaching to the choir, mang. So... yeah.

Saw the Devils Flyers tilt. More competitive than I expected, though the Devils did get dominated late, they will need to play better but they could make it a long series.

Fuck Keith Jones for ripping Kovalchuk. The guy is obviously playing injured and can barely skate. Sit him for game 2 and hope he can heal a bit, replace Volchenkov with Larsson, and hope Josefson can come back soon.

The G & B show in Philly picks up right where they left off in Round 1. Marty stood on his head but he's gonna need more help. Kovi looked tired or bored.

I thought Nashville would be heading home at least with a split. Rinne needs some more help from his D too. Klein had a terrible give away and Josi wasn't very good.

I don't listen to the intermission show. What did he say?

I don't remember exactly what he said but he was basically saying that Kovalchuk didn't have his skating legs, looked like he wasn't trying etc.

Flyers fans and Ranger fans (and, oddly, Kings fans) really have it in for Kovalchuk. The teams that sign the Progners and Gomezes and Gaboriks and Brieres every goddamn year just can't deal with the fact that the Devils signed one big name free agent. Whatever. I expect fans to be idiots. Jones does color commentary for Philly, and used his national platform to spew venom at Kovalchuk. Fuck him. He really needs to shut the fuck up.

At least we dispelled the notion that the Devils can't score on Bryzgalov.

He hates the Red Wings

Because he pretty much just went where the money is, so despite him being a talented scorer we now get to relish every time he doesn't show up to play, which is quite often (especially last year).

Maybe he is injured then. I didn't listen to the PxP but from what I saw Sunday he didn't have much jump. *shrug*

I really can't bag on him yet though. He's only played 17 playoff games in his career so far. As the saying goes "You earn your money during the regular season. You earn your reputation during the playoffs."
