The default defense when your team's fans do something stupid.

There are stupid fans everywhere, and some of those stupid fans are in Boston. At least they didn't riot and tear your city apart, amirite?

I don't follow hockey well enough but I do live near DC so... LOL @ Boston. I will gladly take any opportunity to laugh at their sports' failures.

Ease up buddy, you missed my point. What is the value of saying that some of those fans probably weren't even from Boston? Just condemn it and move on. Nobody thinks these fans reflect all or most of Boston's fans except people who just hate Boston.

I don't think you should be saying that to anyone.

This thread is usually pretty mature, and everyone has opinions. But when someone busts out a "you don't watch much hockey" or "you don't understand hockey" or "you are not a real/true hockey fan" the maturity level drops off a cliff.

And it seems to that is your regular fallback in any disagreement.

Find a new way to disagree with someones opinion. Or at least learn to know the difference between opinions and facts.

Ignore me then if you don't like it. No hockey fan would call Jordan Staal garbage, the kid single handedly took his team deep into the playoffs without Sid or Malkin last year.

Maybe Malkin is the one thats garbage 😛

Frankly I think Malkin is terribad.

If I really meant that then I'm either an idiot or know nothing about hockey, at least I didn't call him an idiot which is probably more likely the case

It's amazing how fast you are to point that out when it's your city, but you quickly paint everyone from the same brush when it's another city.

The reality is I'd rather be a rioter than a racist, also, you guys threw a banana at Wayne Simmons earlier this year too, and you have the last baseball team to integrate.

ROFL. Getting eliminated in the first round = going deep in the playoffs. You're right, in any case, I'm really not a hockey fan. I'm a player. I lace em up and actually get my ass out there every week. If you're ever in the NY/NJ area I'd be happy to cone you a few times. 😀:thumbsup:

He was the #1 center for most of the year, it was crazy that they even made the playoffs.

He carried them in this playoff series too, it just wasn't enough this year because Malkin kept turning the puck over 😛

Regardless, I doubt you would find anyone who doesn't think Staal is a good player. Nay, Great player. You might not like him for some reason but he's not garbage.
