And Montreal did sht to Chara and lost badly. They should be freaking ashamed, especially after the sht talking by Recchi before the game. Montreal are a bunch of pussies.

Real men don't blindside people from behind... only sniveling cunts do

Colorado will hate Bertuzzi forever, but it's hard to blame him entirely for the struggle that happened afterward. He's a piece of cowardly shit taking a shot when he knew the guy wasn't looking, but I doubt he thought "I hope I break this guy's neck and end his career". While I'm still not sure he was punished accordingly, I do believe he does truly feel bad about ending a young players career. He's an epic douche, but you can tell he's still human enough to feel bad for what he ended up causing. His punch may not have directly caused the injury, but it started the brawl that did. If he didn't swing it wouldn't have happened, we all know that (including him).

What a sniveling wise and beautiful woman looks like...

Great pic KMFDJ! Look at Stevie Y. He looks like he's about ready to launch himself over the boards and take LeTurtle out at the knees.

Sorry, but right now the Devils couldn't beat Whitney Houston if Bobby Brown was on the team. :(

i am also fine if the devils lose...but for the sake of points, id rather see them win

maybe there will be a 1 -1 tie near the end of the 3rd and a huge bench clearing brawl will break out and the refs will kick everyone out of the game

Lundqvist with a huge shutout against Boston.

NY did get lucky with their lone goal though.

It has been a tight 3 team race (I guess 4 team now with Montreal in danger of dropping out of the 6 seed) for those last 2 spots in the East...

It is hard to defend anything Bertuzzi did on that play. It was all over the top and out of line. However, in this instance "blindside" really isn't an apt description. It's not like it came out of nowhere. Bertuzzi tried to goad Moore into a fight by pulling on his arm and then his jersey. Moore wouldn't bite and continued to skate away, but Betuzzi was still pulling on Moore's jersey and pulled him back and sucker punched him in the back of the head. Moore kinda started to turtle and Bertuzzi pushed him to the ice. I believe what hurt Moore was more of that push than anything although it could have been the pile of people on top of Moore too.

What Bertuzzi did is no different than when players push one another into the boards as the opposing player is falling towards the boards. Both should be eliminated from the game, but I've probably seen that play a half a dozen times this season. It's amazing more players don't have career ending injuries because of it.

My whole point was that if someone does get hurt you really shouldn't penalize the player that did hurt someone more so than the other half dozen players that did the same thing yet their victims came out of it with less than career ending injuries. Now, Bertuzzi is a pariah because Moore is out of hockey. If Moore hadn't been hurt so bad Bertuzzi would just have been another asshole among many.

i agree. consistency is key to discipline, and the NHL shows over and over that it isnt going to be consistent with discipline. meh.

hurricanes lost to tampa saturday, i didnt go, didnt expect them to win, but mostly because the weather here was shitty and i didnt want to drive in it to see them lose

their season is over, as far as im concerned. i have tickets to the last home game, also against tampa, and ill go to that for the hell of seeing the last hockey game of the season.

Bertuzzi kicked out of the Wings-Hawks Game for an elbow to the head. Dirty. Just dirty.

It looked worse than what it was.

EDIT: I understand why the ref called it the way he did because of how it looked at real speed. But slowed down and shown again not that bad.

Oh I agree. But you can't tell me it wasn't just a dumb dirty play. Bertuzzi was a moron for even doing it. Thats what makes it dirty.

Wasn't dirty it was dumb. In the slow replays it looks like Bert hit him more with his tricep than his elbow.

EDIT: In fact I am happy they kicked Bert as he was a turn over machine the few shifts he had.

Maybe Berts out of practice. That might be the first guy he hit all season. He brings a lot to the table that I like, but he no longer plays with any grit. Hopefully he's coming out of his shell. It would be a shame if the NHL came down hard over this.

I think they're going to have to. It was a head shot (or at least it looked like it to me, I only saw the hit once).

Aiming for someone's head says nothing about "grit".

Bertuzzi will not be suspended additional games
At least he came into the dressing room and apologized. Unlike Lemieux.

It was more of a semi-clothesline but Johnson was playing the puck and had his head down. Bertuzzi should have just hip checked him instead of trying to use his shoulder which is why his arm came in at the level of Johnson's head. I don't think the video proves that he was headhunting, so seems like the right call.

Yes, you can be gritty without ever having to resort to anything illegal, but name one player accused of illegal hits who doesn't already have a reputation of sticking there nose in there and mucking it up. What happens is they go too far. They lose all respect for their fellow players as means to winning. I hate anything having to do with elbows to the head, sucker punches, stick work, or knees used as weapons. All this stuff needs to get out of hockey and the only way to do it is through suspensions. I wouldn't have had a problem with them suspending Bertuzzi, but I wouldn't have given him more than a game. Obviously the NHL, after looking at replays, doesn't think Bertuzzi was aiming for Johnson's head.
