I don't really think much else needs to be said.

Yep, that about settles whether or not it was intentional. His arm looks up and into the side of his head to me.

Pretty dirty hit. In the territory of where I'd like to see a player suspended for as long as the recipient of the hit is injured. The intent looks a lot like Bertuzzi's on Moore, and the outcome is potentially the same.

What a joke. I seriously do not understand how they can pussy out with the history between these teams and these two players specifically.

from NHL.com

Asked about the play, Chara said, "It's just one of those things…like glass extensions, doors, even hockey nets are part of the game and obviously players run into them.

Yeah, and sometimes those players had some help from your fist. Wow, he should just STFU. I used to have respect for him before this hit.

terrible... so glad he's ok...

i would have expected some type of suspension but they ruled that it was a "hockey play"... good youtube link btw ^^... wow...

definitely not what you want to see in a hockey game. i'm on the fence with regards to if Chara's intent was to injure him or direct him into the glass. you can be sure the players know though, so no suspensions = wild games between these two teams both before and (potentially) in the playoffs...

to be fair, campbell recuses himself from dealings with the bruins. this was decided by mike murphy.

im aware, but since its campbells job and its generally poorly handled it doesnt really set an example for when someone else has to deal with it.

Ovechkin with his 600th point and Arnott with his 900th!

Yup, Washington hasn't lost a game since the new guys came into town... hopefully they can hold for another period and put this W in the books.

Carolina losing to Atlanta, ouch. Hopefully they can pull that one out.

Chara knew what he was doing. Of course he didn't want to break the guy's neck, but my opinion is that he intentionally pushed him into that post.

2 games ago, Habs came back from being down 2-0 in the end of the third. Max Pacioretty scored the OT winner and gave Chara a push afterwards. Chara went after him but was held back by Gill.

Last game in Boston, Chara went after him all game. That was the 8-6 game where the Bruins really gooned it up, jumped a couple of Habs non-fighters at the end...

Last night in Montreal, you could see it was very intense. After the Habs went up 4-0, you could almost feel something bad was going to happen. And then it did...

Just too much recent history to be just an accident. The puck was already down the ice, Pacioretty wasn't expecting to be pushed. One of the most disgusting plays I've seen. And the league shows once again what a joke they are compared to all other professional sports.

All I know is that I want the Flyers to sign Greg Campbell when he's a free agent. We need him to get preference from the league.

😀

canes lost, in OT

i guess after 4 days off they were just...too well rested? some good minutes, but not many, and not enough. its astounding how poorly they come out for playoff chances.
