What has gotten into the Raiders?!?! Two blowouts in a row!

Other observations:

1. Jets and Steelers both fall. I think the AFC is probably even more wide open than the NFC.
2. The Bills lose another close one. They always seem to grab defeat from the jaws of victory.
3. LOL at the Broncos.
4. Stick a fork in them, the Vikings are done.
5. Sigh. Chargers won. Will this be yet another late season run that saves Norv Turner? When will the Chargers get a clue?
6. LOL at the Cowboys.

If not for the punter going fubar and them needing to go for it on 4th down in the fourth with time almost out, the pack would have scored a mighty 3 points. Going against what has probably been the top offense of the NFC, I think I can live with that.

And god forbid if the colts lose again tonight.

They very well might lose. Nothing would shock me. It will depend on which defense shows up. Personally, I think they'll play the run and then Schaub will eat them up. I have NO faith in the Colts' defense. NONE.

I do. I think they have something to prove after the first shellacking by Houston, and it's at Indy. I'm going to have to cross my fingers that the offense is synched up with Gonzalez and White (two pretty good WRs) likely playing. This game is crucial.

Well I think the Packers would have have 6pts right? 9-3 = 6?
That being said, "Top offense in the NFC" What? Packers are missing All-Pro TE (and ultimate go-to-guy) in Finley AND his back-up. We literally have NO running back and Driver Is about at 10% (he hasn't caught a ball in 2 games in a row, this after catching a ball for 143 games straight. Packers offense is horribly anemic right now.

Take into account too, the Jets scored ZERO against a horribly nicked up D-Line and a 2nd string 2ndary too (Al Harris and Bigby still out). It was a bad game on both sides of the ball. Neither team should have won, but it was not decided on that 4th down fake-punt.

Yeh it pains me to say this...but when Eli is playing well, then the Giants are the best offense in the NFL. They can beat you both on the ground and through the air.

New Orleans might be flashier, but NYG is just a better balanced, more punishing team. Since week 3 and getting their shit together, New York is the team to beat in the NFC IMHO.

I HOPE the defense felt completely and utterly humiliated after their first game and play with a huge chip on their shoulder. Likewise, I hope the O-line stuffs Williams and keeps him away from Manning.

P.S. On the NFL Network's 100 greatest NFL players, Peyton is in the top 10, unlike certain QBs from certain northeastern teams. I just had to throw that random bit of trivia out there.....:awe:

Agreed, Giants looking real strong in the NFC. The boys are much further along than merely falling apart at the seams The skins are cursed with mediocrity this season, which means a middling draft pick and virtually no chance of going anywhere postseason. If nothing changes, I think the Giants are headed at the very least to the NFC championship game, their remaining schedule is highly doable. I think 11-5 or 12-4 are pretty likely possibilities.

As for my Dallas team (I'm from here), please don't win any more games. Please please please.

Look at the NFC, everyone's got injuries and until the last two games the pack was probably on top as far as O goes.

And that was two separate turnover on downs, so yes it comes out to three points total without help from the other side. And if the refs wouldn't have received that healthy payment from the cheese industry maybe so many of those simultaneous possession calls wouldn't have gone the wrong way.

ok. dallas was already falling apart. now their season just got upgraded from tropical storm to hurricane.

even with a high pick i bet jerry jones still wastes it on a flashy running back instead of a lineman or secondary.

Randy Moss has been waived by the Vikings just weeks after Minnesota traded a third-round draft pick to the New England Patriots for the receiver, the NFL Network reported Monday.

Following the Minnesota Vikings' 28-18 loss to the New England Patriots, the Vikings receiver announced that he would not be answering any more questions from the media for the rest of the season.

Moss had not spoken to reporters since Oct. 13, taking a $25,000 fine from the NFL for failing to cooperate with the media. The money didn't sway him to open up last week in the days leading up to his return to New England, which traded him to the Vikings on Oct. 6.

"I got fined $25,000 for not speaking to you all. Me, personally, I really don't care," Moss said. "But at the same time, I do answer questions throughout the week. For the league to fine me $25,000, I'm not going to answer any more questions for the rest of this year. If it's going to be an interview, I'm going to conduct [it]. ... I'll ask myself the questions, then give y'all the answers. So from here on out, I'm not answering any more questions for the rest of this season."

In four games with the Vikings, Moss had 13 receptions for 174 yards and two touchdowns. The Vikings were 1-3 in those games, including Sunday's 28-18 loss at New England.

i think the tramon williams call was correct. they both got possession of the ball at the same time, and tramon was able to rip it away. if they had both hung onto the ball till the whistle blew it would have been a catch for the jets. it was the fact that tramon was able to pull it away that got him the ball.

the woodson call was a mistake and if sexy rexy hadn't wasted a challenge earlier he would have been able to get that one overturned.

i dont blame the refs, because i think both of those were very hard to call in real time. even with the replay, it was hard to see sometimes. it is just more ammo saying that the current replay system is broken.

i am not quite sure how to react to this news, he was not happy with the vikings, and obviously wanted to play for the patriots....but, does it mean the vikings are giving up? who will sign him? are there rules that say the patiots could not resign him?
