Feel bad for the Vikings fans. Besides having a horrible coach, watching Favre's and Moss's press conferences after the game would make you facepalm.

Favre only talked about himself. Me this, Me that, etc... He even mentioned that he even impressed himself being able to play with a broken ankle. He says he'll be playing next week and every week. He then says that he doesn't plan on quiting and he hopes the rest of his team doesn't also.

Moss is definitely regretting leaving NE. He wore a Red Sox hat. Moss talked about how much he missed the Patriots and how the Krafts and coach BB were the best. He mentioned how he told the Viking's coaches what the Pats would do in certain situations and formations but they wouldn't listen to him but during the game, they told him that he was right. He left giving the Pats and NE a salute.

so having a WR let the ball bounce out of his grasp into a defenders arms who does nothing to pry it from the WR is considered a strip?

its amazing talent and reflex on the defenders part to snatch it, but that's 100% luck that Harvin didn't catch that ball.

Watching the replay several times, it definitely shows McCourty slapping the ball out of the WR's hands.

That GB/Jets game was so boring. Jets got shutout at home

Dallas needs to clean house...starting 2 years ago :p

Did better than I thought I did in Pickem this week and over 100 pts in both fantasy leagues.

Feel bad for the Vikings and their fans. Their schedule has been really tough.

What has gotten into the Raiders?!?! Two blowouts in a row!

Other observations:

1. Jets and Steelers both fall. I think the AFC is probably even more wide open than the NFC.
2. The Bills lose another close one. They always seem to grab defeat from the jaws of victory.
3. LOL at the Broncos.
4. Stick a fork in them, the Vikings are done.
5. Sigh. Chargers won. Will this be yet another late season run that saves Norv Turner? When will the Chargers get a clue?
6. LOL at the Cowboys.

Better late than never:

Meanwhile, in London, Mike Singletary celebrates a close win over a very bad Broncos team. Will this be the last win for the Niners this season? Stay tuned!

Man this has been a crazy season. i cannot recall ever seeing such an unusual season(although i am pretty young, so i am sure its happened before). The packers surprised me with a victory. i enjoyed watching the vikings loose, and watching the team implode just a little bit more each week. the only think that could have made this week better would to have the bears loose this week too, but that's ok because we still gained 1/2 a game on them since they didn't play.

All i can say is LOL at Randy Moss. I think he expected his team to win more than they are. When will he start dogging it?

I do agree, and I was like "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK" when I saw that ball pop out but the Steeler's didn't really deserve to win much of that game. The goal line stand reduced to a field goal really hurt and the some [very near] penalties on them were poor; the Saints were much more productive.

I wish they'd had more time on offense in the 4th though, the scoring drive was picture perfect and prior to the fumble Ben was finally on point and Mendenhall was finding his legs.

He already has.

On the Meriweather pass interference play, the ball was still entirely catchable for Moss, if he had been trying. Last week he missed another TD that was solely because of a lack of focus / dedication.

After his press conference yesterday, I think two things are clear: first, that Randy doesn't want to be part of the Vikings and, second, that he never, ever, expected his antics in New England to result in a trade. To me, he looked completely shell-shocked after that game and press conference.

Well according to reports, he asked to be traded right after the week 1 speech.

Who is writing off the Steelers? I thought their defense played phenomenally considering the starters who were missing and, even with that loss, they're still an elite team in the AFC. After this week do we now also consider Kansas City elite? A 3 point win over the Bills isn't great, but they're sitting at 5-2 right now, they have a great running game, and Cassel seems to be taking care of the ball much better than he was earlier in the season.

Yeh that confused me too. It was an entirely catchable ball and would have stood as a TD as MN would have declined the penalty. But he just stood there and looked at it.

Yeah, I know. I can't help but wonder, though, if that was a ploy to force the Patriots into extending him.

He certainly hasn't been acting like a guy who was happy to be traded. His effort seems down and he spent nearly five minutes talking about how awesome the Patriots are after yesterday's game.

It doesn't add up.

I think it all adds up to one conclusion....

He wants his next contract, but he is not bright enough to STFU. Really, he just needs to STFU and play ball. Brady gets a huge extension because, guess what, he STFU and plays ball. Manning is gonna get an extension because, guess what, he STFU and plays ball. We all understand that "it's a business" and that "it's no longer football", but part of the business that is football is to STFU and play football.

Vikings really need to can Childress. What is with his challenges? Look idiot, if you were supposed to challenge one play but didn't you can't challenge the next one and hope the refs take your side because they feel bad about blowing a call. And it's even less likely to work if you wait an entire goddamn week (the bobbled TD pass by the Packers).

Of course this wouldn't be an issue if the officials would get the damn calls right in the first place. I don't want it to sound like I'm blaming them for the Vikings' losses, because I'm not. The Vikings are beating themselves. But there have been a lot of really bad calls.

I also did a quick little calculation, so far the Vikings have had a really tough schedule. Their wins have come against teams that currently have a combined 3-11 record (Lions and Cowboys), while the teams they lost against have a combined 25-12 record. At least they still get to play Buffalo, Chicago twice, and the Lions one more time. But the way they've been playing, I think they'll go 6-10. Hopefully that'll get Chilly fired.

I don't know, they still have to play the Cardinals twice. The Cardinals have no QB, an iffy running game and extreme ability to throw more touchdown passes to the other team than their own. So make that 3-14 or 2-14, with the Cards finishing 7-9, maybe.

As a Steelers fan since the early 60's, I was very disappointed (but not surprised) at last night's game.

The Steelers have always had quarterbacks who threw "game winning" interceptions...Ben hasn't changed that one bit...BUT, throwing interceptions is a hazard of passing the ball. It happens.

The Saints did a great job on defense last night, and even though I was hoping they wouldn't, it was kind of nice to see the team wake up for the second half.

i don't see how you can really be disappointed with the steelers in general.

they still have 5 wins, they barely lost to the defending superbowl champs.

they have an extremely competent offense and defense, as well as special teams.

they are pretty much always in contention for making a run come january.

man you steelers fans have it SSSSSSOOOOOOO hard, try being a redskins fan :p.

(my mom and step dad are hardcore steelers fans, so i am around steelers nation often)

Tonight, I've got Foster and Super Mario going up against mr Manning, Mathis, and Viniatari. I already have a 10 point lead...so, we'll see.

and lol at Cowboys. wow. Philips comments after the game were hilarious. "If I knew what was wrong, I would have done something about it by now."

wow, really? This kind of public commentary from a head coach? seriously, bro? hahahaha

oh god...I was unable to watch the game, then saw the highlights....Grossman? really? Grossman?

for fuck's sake. I like Shanahan and all, but I'm thinking this must be the type of decision-making that convinced Denver to let him go.
