It's been effective twice--hasn't really backfired at all.

The one time the kicker missed the first time around he heard the whistle before hand and shanked it on purpose..and another time the kicker made both kicks.
 
Wasn't Folk one of the first kickers they tried that BS timeout on?
Stupid Wisenhunt - He should have known it wouldn't matter and trusted his team.

The kick was blocked because everyone stopped blocking when they heard the whistle.
