I found myself cheering for Ponder last night, felt odd. The guy looks really good, especially against one of the best pass rushing squads in the NFL - the real question is whether the Viks will stick with him or fall back to McDrab.

This is sloppy for the Patriots.

Tom Brady needs his long hair back or something.

He is still spoiled from the 07 season. He still forces the ball now. He used to just find the open man, but now when he wants to throw to a particular receiver, he does it even if there is another open man. Granted the it has worked, but in this game it was really exposed. If Brady was not accurate enough, his INTs numbers would be even worse. As they pointed on TV, they seem to want every pass play to be a big play.

That's pretty bad that they cannot put up numbers against one of the worst D's in the league. He did not even challenge the secondary, which has been burnt all season.

Garrett was the problem - this loss is on him. His play calling was terrible.

Yeah, he couldn't capitalize on the Pats turnovers and three running plays to punt the ball to Brady with plenty of time left on the clock. Jones was not happy when interviewed after the game.

I guess I understand why they put Ponder in - the game was long since lost and they may as well give him some snaps, but McChunky actually completed most of his passes last night. 19-24 for 177 yards, completion percentage of 79%, by far his highest all year. Next highest was 61% against the Lions.

The Bears played a very smart game. They knew Minnesota's secondary was terrible so they covered for their bad O-line by just sticking tons more blockers in there, and it didn't matter that they had fewer targets downfield. They knew Minnesota is a one-dimensional rushing team so they stacked the box to shut down Adrian Peterson. There was really nothing the Vikings could have done. The team is so bad, and I'm not just talking about talent, I mean the whole team is put together terribly. They wasted a ton of money signing Peterson's huge contract extension in a game where the star runningback hasn't been a major factor for at least a decade. They emphasize run defense... in a game where running just isn't as important anymore. The only bright spot on the team is their pass rush, but Chicago proved last night that no pass rush can be effective when everyone gets double teamed.

They better not screw it up at this stage. I do think they'll end up winning a couple of games and unfortunately, I think that will be enough to hand Luck to the Fins. 🙁

What do you think of Matt Barkley of USC and Landry Jones of Oklahoma? I am not positive, but wouldn't they be 2 and 3 behind Luck in the QB dept? Indy should have a very realistic shot at the second QB chosen, do you think they will draft a QB if Luck is off the board?

They oughta just make Rob Ryan the coach of the Cowboys, he's the only Coach at Dallas the media talks about anyways. Would prob be better, too. Who knows.
