Brady is killing me, I need him to start throwing TD again. And whats up with Lance Moore? Brees doesn't throw to him anymore or something?

So my point stands, those are all new starters. Also you missed Ray McDonald starting on defense as well as Aldon Smith replacing Parys Haralson.

I didn't realize defense had that many new starters. I recall them being a (the?) pre-season top defense last year, then stinking it up.

I think their secondary + Willis is pretty much the same, right?

I shit, I forgot about Manny Lawson. dude was a beast, shame Niners got rid of him. Though, I think he made most of his NFL impact on special teams, which is unfortunate. In college, Lawson & Mario Williams coming off the ends was ridiculous. Lawson is a natural Linebacker, but Amato moved him to End because of his speed & size to compliment Super Mario.

You're right... but they're still new STARTERS, not new players. So the defense still looks different because different players see the field more often.


zinfamous: secondary is different - one starting corner is Carlos Rogers, instead of Nate Clements who left for Cinci. Our nickel corner is now rookie Chris Culliver instead of Tarrell Brown, although I believe Brown is a starter now because #1 corner Shawntae Spencer has been dealing with injuries.

Our SS is not the pu-pu platter of Michael Lewis/Taylor Mays, but Donte Whitner who was signed as a free agent from Buffalo.

Oh right, Clements. I actually don't pay much attention to the niners--I just think Patrick Willis. I do know Clements though, and I'd forgotten that he was gone.
 
Just got home from my parents house (left right after the 49ers won) and would like to say.. GO 49ERS! 😀

I didn't see the Harbaugh shake/slap thing but heard about it on the radio.. Hoping to see it on NFL Network/ESPN now. lol

Good job by the D as well to force a quick 3 and out and get the ball back. Really Dallas defensive DB's had excellent position on the last drive, Brady was just throwing darts out there, almost impossible to defend..
