I think Cutler is the kind of guy I would love to see behind a good offensive line. It's amazing how often people overlook the importance of the line. Even if they are awful and the QB puts up horrid stats it's always on the QB. Why? Because when we read the stat line we see 200yds passing, 1td, 3ints. When we turn on Sportscenter we see all of the picks and some of the sacks. They hype the mistakes. It's not exciting to the average fan to hear about just how porous the offensive line is, nope it's all about how dominating the defense was.

Cutler would probably be really good if he had a decent o-line.

/edit
To be honest I think the only reason he is somewhat successful is because he played at Vanderbilt and learned how to run for his life most of the game.

this.

IF they had a better line i think the bears would be winning more. As it is im waiting for cutler to get "hurt" and not finish the season. the guy is taking a beating and you can tell he is rushing it and bailing out fast on scrambles.

That was a pretty poor call on Urlacher, but he got burned on the next play regardless.

On an unrelated note, this team really needs a running game.

Great play call on that TD pass to Pettigrew. Chicago has been zone all night and that route was right between the zone gaps. Nice.

I don't watch Cutler all that often, but he has been amazing tonight.

Terrible drop there.

I don't get it. Every time I do see him, whether in Denver or Chicago, i think he looks pretty damn good despite some terrible drops, shitty line, and yet, the occasional brain fart by Cutler.

But, he's always looked really good despite all. Then all you ever hear is bitching that Cutler sucks, he makes terrible decisions, he folds, blah blah.

If anything, I suppose his problem is that he can't overcome so many defeciences on the team.

He is fast. They need to stop scoring with people other than Megatron. A) I need the points B) I want to see him with 2 tds again for historical purposes.

He actually does make some pretty dumb decisions. But then again I think any QB would when faced with the amount of pressure he's faced pretty much his entire career. If only they gave rushing yardage for forced lateral movement...

yeah, he does. the worst I saw tonight was the 1st Qtr left-arm shovel pass to the ground. that was lol.

by the way, the "derp derp" in my previous post was in regards to the punt off the Lions dude's face mask. not your post. ;)

no no no. I need at least 2 TD for Titus Young to cover that run by best.

because far to often he makes really fucking dumb decisions. sure he has a great arm and is accurate. but far to often he does something dumb.

I think him and Rex Grossmen are a lot alike (though cutler far better) but just idiots sometimes on the field and it kills the team.

And this is why I love fantasy football. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't care nearly as much about this game if I didn't have Stafford/CJ in one league and Forte in another.
