What happened to Malcom Floyd?... All the projections and experts were saying he was going to make a huge comeback this week.

IndyColtsFan...at the game?

No, sorry guys, I was busy last night watching the game and playing LotRO. No time for posting!

Seriously, this is what I've been saying all along -- the Colts' injuries, awful offensive line, and generally bad defense will kill them. Fortunately, the Colts defense played semi-decent last night or it would have been much, much worse. I expected the Colts to lose, but I thought it would be closer. This is the time of year San Diego starts stepping it up and they have our number.

Manning has played poorly the last two weeks and is forcing things way too much. His offensive line is just terrible -- more so from a run blocking perspective, but pass protection hasn't been great either.

At this point, it hardly matters if they make the playoffs because if they do, they're one and done or at best, a one win and out.

If I were Bill Polian, here is what I'd do this offseason:

1. Cut loose Bob Sanders, Anthony Gonzalez, and Pierre Garcon if the salary cap hit (assuming a new agreement is in place) isn't too awful.
2. Look in free agency for the following positions: OL, CB, S
3. In the draft, go for OL and CBs high.

You can't tell me Tony Ugoh was any worse than Mike Pollak and Jeff Linkenbach. That decision by Polian is biting us in the butt hard right now. Polian pisses me off.

By the way, Phillip Rivers is the league's MVP. If he doesn't win it, it is a travesty. Unless the Colts come back and Peyton wins it, of course.

Oh, and for those guys pointing out the non-call on the pass interference by Weddle on the pick 6 -- it was still a poor throw and no way was that going to be a completion even if the receiver had not fallen.

Thank god for Rusty Smith. If Collins is out any extended time (I haven't followed his status), the Colts might be able to get two easy wins.

Uh, here's to hoping Kerry Collins is back next week at the latest. And I never thought I would say that.

Too bad Jeff Fisher is in the predicament he is with respect to Young. If there is any head coach in the league I respect, it is that guy.

A one Tom Brady has something to say about that :D At least Phillip Rivers has a defense, this is the worst Patriots Defense in their team's history. Tom is literally carrying the team on his back.

Vick was sorta in the mix too until yesterday.

The Chargers will collapse in the playoffs even with their defense. And that is why Norv Turner should be fired. If the Chargers GM would STFU and hire a good head coach, the Chargers would win multiple Super Bowls. The Chargers have arguably had the most talented team in the league for most of the last 5 or 6 years and have nothing to show for it.

I think Phillip Rivers is an ass, but I still think he is the league's MVP.

Ah damn, if I had known that probably wouldn't have taken cleveland in the survivor pool.

Oh well, at least one peyton won yesterday.

Brady and Rivers are the top two MVP candidates for sure.

I wouldn't be so cocky until the Jets actually win something meaningful.

The jets are winning, but barely. They have had luck on their side, but sometimes that is all you need to win. I mean, really, that win against the Texans.....

Yeah, that's true. I don't dislike the Jets, but their fans act as if they are completely dominating everyone and that clearly isn't the case.

I'm getting sick of sidelines reporters and even Sportscenter saying the Jets are leading the AFC East. Learn to count?

The Jets are leading the AFC East. They currently have tiebreakers on the Pats, like the Jags do over the Colts.

Even after yesterday, I'd put Vick in the mix for MVP. Everybody can have a bad day. Caveat: I saw about 30 minutes of that game.

Vick didn't even have that bad of a game. His QB rating was like 97 or something. He threw for over 300 yards, 2TD, and 1 INT (his first all season). That was against a very good chicago defense. He lead a pretty impressive comeback as well.

It was the eagles D that really blew that game.

san diego might not even get to the playoffs. if they can't surpass kc then it'll be hard for them to get a wild card over the jets/pats or steelers/ravens. meanwhile, someone from the nfc west will get a ticket.

Cool. I liked seeing the interview with Rivers at the end, seems like a really team-oriented guy. He spent 99% of his time praising his teammates :p

well, the game was dominated by Bolts defense. they did all the scoring, all the score-preventing, lol.

I liked his end-of-game reaction, but I actually wanted him to be a little upset with the offensive performance. Sure, they were dominating on the ground, but he was also carving them up with the passing game. I'm not of the opinion that when you get into a game clearly dominated by defensive scoring, you take the #1 offense (mostly passing) in the league and settle with the run and clock management. Such teams should take these opportunities to continue being who they are. They have been saddled with injuries, but that hasn't slowed Rivers down for a second.

considering those drives that ended in FG--come on! 60 yard drive, iirc, get down to 1st and Goal at the 3 on passing plays...and you go straight run, then a FG? wtf.

:(
