Stick a fork in them, the Texans are done without Schaub. I am going to stick to my original prediction that the AFC goes down to the Ravens and Steelers. I have no faith in the Ravens, so I think the Steelers are going to the Super Bowl.

The Texans are more than just Schaub. hell, even their fans claim that he isn't all that.

let's see how it goes.

Lol Colts. Seriously can a franchise be any Luckier at sucking to extreme levels at the right time? It really is hard to get the #1 pick and somehow they're going to do it twice when a clear cut #1 QB is on the board. Crazy. :p

That was a helluva game...for us Packers fans...not so much for us Vikings fans.

(I like the Vikes and root for them when I don't like whoever they're playing that week)

I was glad to see Matt Flynn have some success in the 4th quarter. Just what every back-up quarterback needs...and his first rushing touchdown coupled with a Lambeau Leap!!

Fucking Jared Allen is an animal. Too bad he's stuck playing with a team that's doing so bad.

It'll be interesting to see where Flynn lands.

Miami, after they pick Trent Richardson?

Monday wasn't so bad this week. :awe: Looks like I'm taking a road trip to Minneapolis next week for the Vikes game against the Raiders - have a buddy that's a huge Raider's fan. We're heading out on Friday (it's a 5 hour drive at the very worst,) so chances aren't too good I'll be too sober by game time on Sunday.

They did it 3 times -- remember, they managed to trade up to select Jeff George first overall in the draft in 1990. He was clearly the most talented QB in that class and had it not been for his shitty attitude, he would've been a great QB IMO. He had one of the strongest, if not the strongest, arm in league history.

running game will only take you so far, we shall see, luckily for the Texans their remaining schedule looks easier than the Titans, so even if they split their remaining 6 games and finish 10-6 they should still take the division, although with a healthy Schaub they had a shot at the #1 seed or at least a bye

I'll be at the Bucs game next week.. Invited by a friend of mine. I've always wanted to see a game at Lambeau. Hopefully I'll be back in January when the 49ers play there should the Pack get the #1 seed like I think they will. :D

No, this running game will take you far. In all of their wins excluding Tenn Schaub has passed for less than 250 yards. With Foster, Tate and the D, they don't need Leinart to be superman

The Texans have a great defense. #1 in total yards, #2 in passing yards, #5 in rushing yards, #3 in third down conversions allowed, and tied for #4 in points allowed.

All they have to do is be competent, not great on offense to be a playoff threat.

Stay Puft the Marshmallow Coach is an excellent defensive coordinator -- he just sucks as a head coach. I was hoping the Colts were going to snag him instead of the incompetent buffoon we have.

The AFC is weak this year so this is the time for them to step up.

You just dont get it. This is no longer the NFL of 2000 where the Ravens won with a mediocre if not sub par QB. To make it to the playoffs, through the playoffs, and win a Superbowl, you need a good QB. You simply cannot have an offense that never passes the ball, you need at least some threat to pass or else the defense will just stack the box with 8 or even 9 guys, and then no OL and/or RB would be able to get anywhere.

Also, a running game, or reliance thereon, is a death knell against a team that can score quick and is first to grab the lead. Heck, just look at what the Ravens did to the Texans. this isn't a question as to whether or not the Texans are a playoff threat, its that with Schaub people were starting to talk about them as AFC favorites and Superbowl contenders. Without Schaub that goes down the drain. Even if they make the playoffs its like an immediate loss.

Besides, not even Pete Carroll had enough faith in his old QB at USC Leinart to even give him a look in the more than one occasion he was a free agent.

Again, we're talking about contenders to actually do something in the playoffs. Also a strong running game can be the cause of favorable defensive statistics because your offense is controlling the clock, simply not allowing the other team time to move the ball and rack up stats. The minute the reverse is done to them, or say they get down in score, that's when mediocrity tends to get exposed.

LOL, rumors are circulating that Caldwell might go to Penn State. I hope those are NOT rumors and are true!
