Even with Manning, the Texans would've won that first game against the Colts and may still have won the division. I think that had Manning played, the Colts might have snagged a wildcard at best.
 
So is tonight's game going to be a close one like the first match, or will the Packers just blow the Vikings away at home?

Orlovsky was moving the ball and looked much better than Painter yesterday. If they bench Painter and start Orlovsky, I'd say their best shots are the rematch with Jacksonville and their next game with Houston at the end of the year IF (and only IF) Houston decides to rest their players. Otherwise, no, they will win no games and if Painter remains the starter, I think Houston could draft the local high school team and the Colts may not win.

At this stage, no one in Indy cares and we just want the season to be over so Caldwell and crew will get canned and hopefully Polian Jr. along with them.

Hard to say, but as long as Woodson manages to get 10 points for me I will win my mathup this week.

San Francisco really is a huge surprise. From where they're sitting they could easily be looking at a #2 seed.

As for Detroit, remember that just a few seasons ago (2007) they started 6-2 and ended up with a 7-9 record, which then led to their 0-16 season. So if they wind up totally collapsing by the end of the season it wouldn't be at all unprecedented.

Yes, I didn't really realize that Detroit was so injury prone, now I'm seeing that.

but with Houston and SF (and especiialy Houston) I've been expecting this from these teams for the last several years. I think I've gone into every season with the "watch what the Texans do!" mindset. They've been very methodical from year to year with drafting and putting together a solid team and making good decisions over all. Similar to SF, but their problems over the most recent seasons very clearly seem to have been coaching.

I think they are better than the Ravens team that won the SB (these Niners actually have an offense).

lol, so much for the Colts possibly beating them in week 16. The Texans are two games up in a weak division but they'll need to push all the way to the end of the season if they drop a few with Schaub out.

Guess the only way the Colts win is week 17 vs. the Jaguars, and only if they haven't won a game yet (to guarantee that they still get the 1st overall pick).

Well Leinart doesn't have to do too much because of the way the O-line is manhandling people this year in the running game. Hell, Schaub only threw the ball 15 times yesterday

Pick-6s aside, the pass defense was atrocious last week. I think they'll be better tonight, could still be a close game if AP goes off. I wonder if the defense has somewhat tuned out Dom Capers and relies on the video game offense to light up the scoreboard every time.

oooo, thanks for the update. jsut sent an offer to our league dominator that has schaub as his QB (Bradford as backup)

I offered Palmer for Jones-Drew,
--He has Forte, Jones-Drew, Battle, Kendall Hunter, and Helu.

I have nothing but suck:

Turner and B Wells, with a whole bunch of scrub Wideouts.
 
There goes the Texans' season. Can Leinart take them to the playoffs? They still have to play the Falcons, Titans, Panthers, Bengals, Colts, and Jags. I could easily see them losing 4 of those games unless Leinart has REALLY improved.

Yep, the Colts are going 0-16 unless they beat Jacksonville. Interestingly enough, we might see Manning play that game and if he does, Jacksonville is so fucked.

Will be interesting to see. Part of me thinks Leinart will just pass the ball off to Foster and Tate with the occasional conservative 5 yard pass to Owen Daniels.

The Texans' defense has been playing really well this year. All Leinart has to do is hand the ball off to Foster and Tate.. and toss it up to Johnson/Daniels now and then to keep the opposing defense honest. As long as he doesn't turn it over, I think the Texans will roll through the Panthers, Colts and Jags and keep it close enough to win with the Falcons, Titans and Bengals.
 
Woodson pinned that INT on the knee! better not call that one back. I started the game down by 10.5 with only Woodson left, and that's 8 points from him, so far.

Texans might be the most complete team in the AFC, kinda flying under the radar as the networks feature a lot of Steelers, Pats, and Ravens game's but I don't think any of those teams would relish a road trip vs Texas is a playoff game. That said, it still remains to be seen if A-rod and company can be stopped, He's throwing ropes out there again tonight, a SB vs the Texans (and their D)could be interesting..

Stick a fork in them, the Texans are done without Schaub. I am going to stick to my original prediction that the AFC goes down to the Ravens and Steelers. I have no faith in the Ravens, so I think the Steelers are going to the Super Bowl.
