The Colts need receivers for manning to pick apart the secondary. They've had to pull people from the practice squad (James) because Collie, Gonzalez, White are injured. They even had to line up Tamme in the WR position a few times instead of normal TE.

You could see it in yesterday's game. The routes and timing are all off because of the noobies.

Collie should be back next sunday so that will help. But injuries are really killing the Colts and they're trying to limp by. Get some of the guys healthy and they'll be back to strength, for now the defense is trying to win the games for them and that's what happened yesterday.

On paper, I agree. The Colts have no business being effective on offense with the state of their team. In reality though, they have one of the top 10 QBs to ever set foot on the field piloting their team. He has a habit (much like Brady) of making his receivers look like superstars. Give these new guys another week with him, and who knows what will happen.

Peyton has had a way of elevating his game in recent years against the Patriots. Considering he is putting together another MVP-quality season, I expect him to keep the game close and I expect him to have an opportunity to win it late.

This season for the Colts reminds me very much of the Patriots last year. I think a lot of people think of last year as a disappointment, but that team had no business making the playoffs and Brady pretty much willed them to wins. Peyton is doing the same thing this year.

On top of that, these teams fucking hate each other on the field. There's no way this game is anything short of awesome.

I think on the afc side we could see several new peeps in the playoffs. Steelers and colts both have major injury issues. Pats have a lot of untested young talents. And there is no assurance that the san diego chickens will make a full comeback this year after suffering their GMs wrath.

How much is JJ kicking himself for keeping Philips around? The Cowboys looked focused and ready to play this week, something that could have made them at least playoff contenders if they had the same attitude starting in week 1.

It is really hard to tell from one game if this was just an emotional high win or if they are turning legit. I have no doubt that the Cowboys should be able to beat the Lions this week but we will see how they play against the Saints on Thanksgiving.

I think way too many people are jumping on the "Cowboys are back" bandwagon. Watch as they shoot up the power rankings jumping ahead of teams that are 4-5 just because they are the Cowboys.....

Time will tell if yesterday's game was a fluke...or if they've actually managed to turn the team around.

Oh I'm not saying they're back, but this was the first time all season it looked like the Cowboys cared. Maybe it was a one-time thing, but that would leave the score at 1 - 0 for the Garrett / Philips debate.

Yeah, I think that injuries have caught up with them the last couple of weeks. No way do the Eagles beat a healthy Colts team, nor does a Bengals team even stay within 2 TDs. It remains to be seen how the rest of the season will go, but each week, a new key player or players go down and it is really frustrating to watch.

Polian needs to make some serious offseason changes, and that's something I'm not convinced he'll do. He really needs to cut ties with Bob Sanders and Anthony Gonzalez, and he needs to bring in both offensive line talent and secondary talent. And while he is at it, buy some sticky gloves for Garcon. If he drops one more catchable pass, I think I am going to go postal.

But there is a silver lining this season -- I did get major laughs at the expense of the Cowboys and Vikings, and the Texans and their bandwagon fans are giving me numerous chuckles as well.
