Am I the only one that likes both of these teams? It's a nice close game, looking forward to 2H :)

With Detroit out last week, it's up to the 49ers to continue the NFC's streak of 10 straight years with a different team representing the NFC in the Super Bowl. They're doing a decent job so far.

+3 TO differential, consistently advantageous field position and up only 3 on the scoreboard.

Haven't really been able to run on the Saints and there's no way Alex Smith can out-gun Brees; so short of more turnovers, Sean Payton has reason to feel confident.

2nd quarter was more like the SF offense: march down the field, convert a few 1st downs, eat up some clock...punt at the 45.

I think I said something about how SF defense was damn tuff. That's what's keeping them from getting blown out. Every play they're going after the ball, punching, stripping, hitting, etc. Great game so far.

The Saints' defense is shutting down SF as well. They gave up the one big play for a TD, and since they have given up drives of 4, 6, 8, 31, 21, 0, and 3. Sadly, that includes two field goals and a TD because the Saints offense and ST is getting in the way.
