So Rogers is probably going to be named MVP but he gets totally outplayed by Eli Manning when it matters.

Brady felt that a couple years ago.

I would have never predicted a beating like this at home for the Packers. Goes to show how hard it is to repeat as champs. The only team that hasn't recently won a bowl is SF and would be nice to see them do it 20 years later.

I don't think you can put this L on Rodgers, he did great. His team utterly failed today though, that's for sure, and Eli was outstanding.

Anyway, I wouldn't say Eli outplayed Rodgers today, almost all of those dropped passes were flawless passes, which you can't really fault the QB for. Also credit NY's defense for really hustling and getting on the ball quite a lot. Impressive.

Packers and Saints fans have been kind of obnoxious with the smugness, so I'm glad they're both out.

And I think it's awesome that Patriots fans are hoping they don't have a rematch against the Giants. As a Giants fan, I'd rather have a rematch against the Ravens.

I wouldn't be too disappointed to see the 49ers in the Super Bowl though. Giants weren't really supposed to be Super Bowl contenders this year, though they're doing a pretty good job of disproving that in the playoffs.

The remaining AFC teams are looking a lot better vs the remaining NFC teams. I would have bet on the saints or packers blowing out the ravens or patriots. I'd still bet on the niners to win a close game with either, but the giants...IDK.

can't really hang that on Rodgers. Eli definitely played well--really well. He had a better game, but he had guys like Cruz, Nicks, and Manningham actually catching the ball.

Btw, this weekend is definitely a feather in the hat of all the "defense wins championships" people. The top offensive teams, with the understandable exception of the Patriots, are all gone. Fallen victim to impressive defensive performances by the opposing teams.

I think it simply further shows how good the NFC is compared to the joke that is the AFC this year. NE won as easily as they should have, against something of a joke team. Baltimore won, as expected, but they Texans were good.

The only surprise in the NFC, so far, is probably the Giants. They have been playing great, recently, but I think that win was totally unexpected--not exactly a surprise, but unexpected, for sure.

I don't see the Niners having much trouble with Baltimore or NE. neither Giants, really. Eli & Coughlin already know how to take down Brady and Belichick in the SB. :p

that being said, GB D probably had their best game of teh season. Were it not for those bad turnovers by their offense, the score would not have been so lopsided.

I wonder how much the death of Philbin's son effected the offense, much less the entire team?
