Is it me, or the Giants whine like a bunch of school girls? ” we've got lots of injuries” - Tom; ” my salsa dance is sacred” - Victor; ” Smith gets away with murder” - Gilbride; whiny face - Eli.

Quit yer whining.

The irony of an NFL offensive coordinator complaining about uncalled holding penalties...

Wow.

It will be a tough game for the Giants.

But on another note, I gotta give shit to SSSnail. So you did not support them through their bad years? You just became a fan in early 2011?

SSSnail is only a recent immigre to the Bay Area. To be fair, I seem to recall his jumping on the bandwagon early last season, before they were so clearly dominant outside of the few people paying attention. "adopting current home team" sort of thing

Like how when I moved to Chicago in 2003, living in the shadow of Wrigley Field, spending much of that summer unemployed and watching every damn game on TV--yeah, I became an adoptive cubs fan. Sure, it didn't hurt that they were pretty damn good that year pushing it to game 7 of the NLCS....

call these people bandwagoners all you you want, I'm sure no one cares. It's not like the Mets are no longer my #1 even though I also pull for the Cubbies, likewise the Skins even though I've pulled for the Chargers since the day the acquired Rivers, the Rams since the day they acquired Torry Holt (and only during the years he remained there) and have become very sympathetic to the Niners cause (this is because they are freaking awesome to watch. 10 point game, 40 point game--they are one of the few teams now that plays football. An absolute pleasure to watch)

And I do hope they rub the field with Eli. It will make me feel better...but not that I have any real emotional investment in this team.

Yeah, I know it's late...but I'll still wrongly predict the Thursday result I expected, going in with a mid-week handicap.

😀

I see Oakland possibly winning...but they really shouldn't

One thing that surprised the hell out of me this morning, the Broncos picked up Trindon Holiday on the waiver wire and I find out the Colts also placed a claim for him, but the Broncos got him because the Colts have a better record. LOL. Really?

The Broncos have lost to the best teams in the league (Houston and Atlanta) and got schooled by Tom Brady in his house. However, the second half of our schedule looks much better. As long as we can beat the Chargers in SD on Monday night, we shouldn't have any issues after the bye the week after.

But Luck is LEGIT!! I can't believe people actually thought RG3 would be better than Luck. He might have had more upside in some aspects of his game, but Luck is clearly the next great QB in this league. Will fall in nicely with Brees, Manning, Brady, Rodgers and Matty Ice as the clear elite QB's.

Cam Newton is exactly what I thought he was. I was never sold on him last year. I don't believe in him for a second.

Matty Ice? lulz...replace the Ice man with Rivers. (I like Matt Ryan btw)

but yeah, Luck is really coming on strong, and earlier than expected. I thought it would take him the entire season, but he gets more confident each week.

I just wish he were on a team that anyone cared about... :whiste:

They'll make it to the playoffs without question, the issue comes around on whether or not they can win a SB. Suggs comes back healthy, and this might be their last chance. If its not, the window is still closing soon, maybe one more year of Ed Reed and Ray Lewis and then the window has closed.

Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are no longer the heart of the team like they used to be. I don't think their departure will close a window. Ray has aged gracefully but he's certainly not the Superbowl MVP he was 12 years ago. The Ravens will make it just fine without him & Ed Reed. A lot of people still think of them as team with the crappy offense & dominant defense from a decade ago but their D isn't what it used to be and for the first time ever they have a quarterback who doesn't suck.

Suggs coming back for the second half of the season (and playing at his old level) is much more important IMO. That and Ray Rice not getting hurt.

I think Ray Lewis is certainly still their leader, though--and he is no slouch in terms of skills and effectiveness. It still boggles my mind that he is out there, today.

When he is gone--more-so than Ed Reed, I think--it isn't so much his performance that will be missed, but his presence on the field and certainly the sidelines that will be missed. ....and I daresay it will be a huge loss.

Eh I was a little drunk at the time, glad his team is doing good!

The guy is a freak of nature. I'm surprised that he can still walk after 17 years in the NFL, much less play at a high level.

We get two great games@ 4:00 today, Giants/SF and Seattle/NE. Seattle is now the #1 ranked defense in the league, could be a long day for Brady who has been sacked 12 times already this year, the Pat's O line is not the unit it used to be. Last years playoff game (NY/SF) was one of the hardest hitting games I've ever seen, expect more of the same today as both teams will try to establish physical dominance..

Sweet trick punt play there by NYJ with Tebow tossing the lob pass for the first down.

The Eagles defense looks great. Vick can't keep the ball, center keeps snapping it early, and offensive line can't give Vick much time. Ugly season.

How can the line be all the way up to SF -7 over NYG? Do people think SF is that good to give that many points to the defending champs? Absurd, and I say this as a 49ers fan.

Wow, Raiders, Atl tied in 4th qtr. that would be crazy to break that streak against the Raiders. Miami looking better every week, sleeper potential for wild card IMO..
