Jason Giambi just got pinch hit with runners in scoring position. This is truly sad.

They brought in a lefty with a nasty slider. If there was a right hander pitching Giambi would've stayed in.

Oh, I see. Down in Florida this week so watching the game via play-by-play on the internet. Still, 2 years ago Giambi would've stay against Randy Johnson himself.

Of course, because he was playing 1st base. He was an everyday player. It's a little different for a DH.

Yankees are now only 1/2 game behind Boston... Didn't think that would happen that quickly...

Arod goes yard AGAIN. 17th homer, he's red hot.
Sox are getting killed by the Jays, Yanks may overtake them tonight.

came to this thread just to say that... thanks for stealing my thunder!!!

Sorry, you can do it tomorrow. There will be plenty more Red Sox humiliation to go around, everyone can have a turn.

i love it how all the yanks fans all of a sudden come out of the woodwork once they start winning.....at the beginning of all of these posts....it was how much they sucked and blah blah blah blah....now they are all of sudden riding bandwagon....typical

I love life a little more since the BoSox 'humiliated' the Yankees on their home field down 3-0. Now, whenever a cocky little Yankee fan tries to gloat, I just refer back to that memory and smile. :)

As much as I hate the Yankees, they deserve the praise they're getting now. People are people. If there was a Red Sox thread like this and roles were reversed, they would have done the same exact thing.

[asshole]

After driving from Boston to Chicago in two weeks to see my World Champion Boston Red Sox play (and beat) the Cubs for the first time ever at Wrigley Field, I'm headed 5 hours southwest to St. Louis to watch the Cardinals we swept in the Series play the Yankees the next day at Busch Stadium.

And yes, I'll still be rooting for the Cards.

Just thought I'd throw that out there...
