Celtics 3's: 1-10

(this probably won't happen again)
Rondo: 13 pts, 6 reb, 8 ast, ALL below his post season averages iirc
Garnett: 4 reb
Pierce: 24 pts., but played 46 minutes to get them.

Pierce scored some on Artest, but imo did most of his 'more damaging/timely work' with Artest on the bench (played 33 minutes.) Pierce can't play these minutes each game without a huge cost to his legs, he's too old. Jackson had ballz to sit artest while Rivers was trying to get Pierce 'artest-less' minutes.
Eddie House: Nate Robinson can provide some spark, but he's no Eddie House off the bench, particularly with Allen sidelined so much. They really missed him last night.
Kobe Bryant: Great to see him so focused he's not playing with his lips so damn much during interviews.
Lakers kicked the celtics' @ss on the boards, but I love how Rivers explained it. Guards were penetrating too much, drawing the bigs, leaving their bigs to clean up. It wasn't a question of effort on the big's behalf, but that penetration has to be slowed.
I also agreed with him that 7 technicals/automatic suspension is wrong if you're going to include 'double-technicals', which refs thro out when they don't know who started it. Flagrants etc., yes, not not DT's. Stern seemed to agree that he's got a point and will probably do something about it.
Overall, very entertaining game. I expect them to try and get Pao in foul trouble and do what they can to seal the lanes. Lakers will probably take more 3's, and that's not necessarily a good thing. This is where we'll see how tough the lakers have gotten, whether or not they concede that they can't drive as much, or if they will put forth the effort to
take the lanes anyways.
