I whined about GoW 2...and I quit. I sold the game in under a month and was done with it. I bought it again several months later when they'd finally fixed it and enjoyed it a good bit more.

If you let your friend talk you into paying money for a game you disliked then it's your fault.

My suggestion: Based off of your complaints for the game and your desire to play with your buddies you might consider picking up Bad Company 2. Much more team focused but it does suffer from a few connection issues (you'll drop every once in a while) but it's not too bad.
 
I've been playing spec ops with a friend. Some of those missions are so fun. There was one where I provided cover from the air in an AC-130 while my friend was on foot, and that was a total blast.

I should probably play some more multiplayer this weekend 😛

Yeah, there are some good Spec Ops missions. Most of the memorable ones though happen early on (AC-130 mission, chopper support mission).

And while it's a Double XP weekend I'd play MP as much as possible to give yourself a boost.

'Storm' is SWEET - definitely my favorite in the pack, and maybe my favorite in the entire game. It just oozes flow. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about anything in the new pack. If IW was smart, they'd pump out a pack like this every 4 or 5 months. I'll buy 'em as long as they're of this caliber.

I'd rather they didn't. Quality suffers when you force them to adhere to a schedule.
 
Agreed I expect another Activision Stimulus Package in about 3 months.

I will admit I do like the maps as well after getting some more play time on them but my skills must have really fallen off lately or something because I am getting totally owned on everything (not the old maps as I haven't played any of them lately). It may also just be the games I am FORCED to play also as don't normally play Sabotage, Demolition, S&D, HQ etc. Who knows.

My only complaint is the forced game modes. I absolutely HATE that about the Stimulus package. Give me TDM or Domination all day long please. That and the terrible selection -- ie play TDM on Overgrown, next game is HQ on Overgrown, then HQ on some other map, then CTF on Overgrown. In 30 mins yesterday I played the same map 4 times. Very irritating!


Also can any of you EXPERIENCED Crash guys tell me how the hell you get up to the roof on that 4 story?? building in middle? My whole team was getting owned by a sniper up there and I have no idea where to go and shoot that guy. FYI the roof has some sort of fencing around it as well based on the Kill Cam.

The TDM and domination playlists have all the new maps on them. Of course the old maps are on the playlists as well.

And crash, If it is the building with the chain fence up top, that building has 2 sets of stairs inside.

As mentioned all of the playlists now have the new maps. The Stimulus playlists play ONLY the new 5 maps though while the others play the old and new maps. I'd switch back to the normal TDM (or MTDM) playlists were I you.

The building on crash is 3 story and as mentioned there's two sets of stairs in the building. Also if you run towards it from the Ranger spawn (or is it TF141...) and up the external stairs there is a ladder outside that leads to the roof. Snipers up there can be annoying but just coordinate with two or so guys to pop out and shoot at him. I took a sniper out this morning on that map with an iron sighted SCAR pretty easily. He went back up there so my teammate dropped a Predator right on him.

I've not been doing as well either lately blowfish. Methinks that there's alot of veterans who left for BC2 and came back for the map pack. I did start doing better having switched back to a TDM playlist instead of the old Stimulus mish mash playlist. Finished off all my SCAR-H attachment challenges this morning.

We need to play again sometime though blowfish and SR. Tonight I'm going to watch my wife's school baseball team play, mayhaps later on though I'll catch you guys on!
 
I have had 0 problems at all with the new maps. Don't know why everyone is complaining. My only complaint is that my friends haven't gotten them yet!

Everyone calls it the 3 story building, but it's really only two stories since the second set of stairs lead to the roof. 😛

My kids have fellow friends over for a sleepover tonight so I have a house full of kids tonight for games, pizza, and a movie -- oh my!

Good games last night with blowfish. SR, you were on a little earlier and I tried to join your game RIGHT when you logged off. Oh well.

Actually played a bit of hardcore with some XBL friends + blowfish, it was kind of a nice change. Didn't do stellar but having a team that actually worked together (although my teammate hit me with a Predator two times in a row!) was pretty cool.

Oh, and they told me to start it. The room on Storm with all the mannequins is hereby officially known as "Old Navy."

Yeah, I'm really surprised how few of my friends actually picked it up. I didn't think the price would hurt it too much, but I know for a fact that every one of them would have bought it if not for the price.
