wasteland is my best map period, i just steamroll camping diff spots.
usually 1 of the 2 houses on the copter side (north)

or near the lighthouse building, crouched behind a wall overlooking over the south corner
(of course with claymores covering my back.

Wasteland's one of the maps that I do best on, but it's one of my least favorites. I hate camping, and that's all I have to do on this map haha.

Any gun + a thermal scope, into that tunnel, is beast.
 
like kabob said, just danger close and keep shooting nades into the tunnels lol

what's odd is whenever i play, everyone wants to be "sniper"
and the tunnels usually only have 1-2 guys in there at any one time.
funny thing is i only use the m16 silenced on that map and i own the snipers
hard.
 
Well once I get bored running around looking around to engage someone that is what I do - fire off some M203s, toss a grenade in there a few times and kill a bunch of guys. Problem is that gets boring. I would much rather sneak around on the backside of the map (helicopter side leading up to the church) and engage guys in that area. Much more enjoyable.

I do like the map but the hanging out in the tunnel is boring. Similar to Estate - I like the map but all the action always ends up a the house.

Scrapyard is cool cause even though it is small you can typically engage people anywhere on that map. Same for Highrise (another of my favs).

I hate Wasteland and Derail, they're my two least favorite maps. Both have the same problem. Either both end up with huge clusterfucks in the middle of the map, or everyone sits on the edge and snipes. Both situations are equally annoying.

The best maps are the urban ones. Karachi, Invasion, Favela, Highrise. A person can choose to be a sniper on those maps, but it's not as easy to just own a large part of the map with a single sniper. You might have one street covered, but people have other ways of getting to you. On Wasteland and Derail, a good sniper can lock down a huge portion of the map and make it almost impossible to displace them.

Rust is, well, it is what it is. It's very fun every now and then because it's so chaotic, but I wouldn't want to play it often.

After about 25 or so games I am like the Scar more and more each day. I find I am decent with it on just iron-sighting which is a surprise as I love the M4/ACOG setup I run with all the time.

I just got the Raffica this w/e so I will have to fiddle with that some as well.

Reloads - I am bad with this one as I always seem to either be reloading or needing a reload right when someone is popping around the corner. Bang I'm dead. Gotta work on that timing.

Wasteland -- this map frustrates me for 2 reasons. Every game I play lately seems to be nothing but a clusterf**k in the main "tunnel" area. I mean EVERYONE goes there and seems to be nowhere else so I am either running around this big a$$ map hoping to find someone to fight with or I have go play clusterf**k in the tunnel with the other 11 people - very annoying.

The other problem on this map is that no matter where I am or what I am doing if I get killed the friggin' system spawns as far away from the action is as humanly possible. This is so annoying as you then have haul you butt all the way back to the front of the map. Dumb spawn system. This has only been a recent thing btw.

On Wasteland, there's three things things you can do: A. Snipe, B. Noob Tube, C. Stealth.

I love it when the majority of the other team are hiding in the caves. Triple/Multi-kills all day with noob/thumper and danger close on. If they're all sniping, I'm sneaking around the entire outside of the map to hunt them down. I suck at sniping, so I'm not going into a sniper battle with anyone.
 
i tried the danger close, noob tube, thumper and nades but that got boring SO FAST.
its only fun when you dont really feel like playing and just want to ruin peoples days

Yep when I have had a bad day I love doing this as it cheers me up to log on, hope for wasteland and bomb away, LOL!

It does get VERY boring though.

Highrise and Scrapyard are never boring for me.

Highrise is fun, but can be a bitch if your team is trapped in one location and can't get out. I don't know why my teammates will continue to try to run out while they're camping us outside. They need to go underneath to the other side, and creep around them.

Scrapyard is always fun. I get alot of kills and death, but running around with Akimbo p90's, marathon, stopping power, and steady aim is always fun on that map.

As he said, once you prestige the 1st time it unlocks new challenges for the guns that do not reset when you prestige.

Yeah, it does get boring, but you do it to force them to change their tactics, then resume play as normal.

Both of those maps are great, I also like Terminal a whole lot for good fast paced action. Really the only map I still dislike is Underpass, although I usually do reasonably well there.
 
yeah I forgot about Terminal. Another good one.

I would have liked to seen a map for the white house since we are in washington in the game (would have been fake of course but still cool I think.

The town in Spec-Ops with the dinner, bank etc might have been good too

I think a lot of folks forget about that underground pathway.
 
Yeah, there's several maps from the game that I think would make great MP maps.

Suburban Subdivision
Suburban Restaurant/Bank area
Metropolitan Washington DC
The Pit (small CQB map)
Middle East School (from the first mission).
Outer Space!! (OK, not really).

They need to make a favorite map selection, to where the games you're in automatically skip over the maps you dislike. That way, I never have to play certain maps ... like Rust.

I dont think I've ever played rust outside of a private match (1000+ public games played)...
