That pisses me off so much! I had a personal best 18 kill streak yesterday but it only got counted as 11 because 7 of them were from my pave low.

I still felt good though because I came in with our team down like 4500-2200 and then went 18-1 bringing my team back up to a tie 6500-6500 and I had the highest score in the server. (One of a few matches that has been ended by the time limit)
 
Is anyone else having trouble playing 3rd person? Every game I get thrown into is a private game. My friend and I are having no trouble playing Demolition, but 3rd Person Team Tactical will not load for us.

I mentioned it a few posts up, l2read! It's seriously getting fucking annoying - the demolition isn't even TT, it's 14 people per side, which gets old.

Seriously - this forum doesn't seem to be any more slanted toward the 360 than the general public (in the US), but with this game it seems like everyone here is on the 360. I guess the ATCG PS3 guys aren't into FPS?

Yep you are right. I loved the AK-47 in COD4, in MW2 it is nowhere near as good. I'm actually glad it's not as good because it makes the decision to prestige that much easier 😛
 
Just went 61-4 in the bugged 3rd person demolition. Two harrier strikes, two pave lows and 2 AC-130s - got my akimbo 1887s and F2000 badge in that round.

Well, I play MW2 on the PS3... I'm just not very good yet :/ Not much of a multiplayer FPS console player, but I'm getting in to it.
 
Is there anyone here, besides myself... seriously considering not prestiging. I never prestiged in CoD4, as I saw no reason. I suppose the extra slots might make it worth while. That's the only thing you get from it, right?

Blah, 5 slots is really not all that bad.... but... another slot or two might be nice.

I want to prestige because it gives me more of a sense to play - I feel it's rather fun & challenging to restart. I've already badged a few weapons, and it will give me another opportunity to do more without feeling like I'm wasting the XP, etc.
 
So this new glitch where you can host a private match and have the stats count is getting really annoying. It is ruining the game. I can't even play a 3rd person without it happening.

If its private whats it matter at least they aren't doing it in a public game.
 
To be honest, I wish you could get stats in private matches. There already is PLENTY of ways for people to boost their stats. Two things would occur of private matches were common place. A. Boosters wouldn't ruin public games. B. You guys would play private matches with me!

Seriously, I think having a private match with 10 AT guys would be so much more fun than playing random games with strangers. I'd like a chance to go head to head against Kabob and Dougism in a friendly match.

To the guy who was looking to buy MW2, it's back down to $45 at Amazon today.

I hadnt prestiged for about 20 hours of play, even got the mastery for the AK47...but there came a point where I started to lose my motivation to play. In the end, I'm glad I prestiged, something just seems to be missing when youre not constantly gaining levels.

I wish you got a little more for it though, and I definitely wish there were like another 10 levels above 70 where you'd get to enjoy being fully loaded before you felt you needed to prestige.
 
This bug is pissing me off, and has me real close to pulling out the fuckin DVD and putting it away until IW pulls their lazy fucking heads out of their asses and FIXES A GOD DAMN BUG. It's a simple playlist modification.
 
I got a 20 kill streak yesterday thanks to the M16 + ACOG and a bunch of idiots who kept running around the same corner over and over again. Oh, and when I called in my Harrier, it got like 7-8 kills on its own and no one shot it down. I ended up getting a challenge for killing the entire enemy team without dying. Went something like 28-4 that round, better than I'd ever done before.

Sadly, I was running UAV/Predator/Harrier at the time 🙁 Otherwise I would have gotten a chopper gunner (which I've only ever gotten from a care package before). There were a couple other instances of me being unable to activate my killstreak rewards yesterday, either because I got killed while using the Predator or because the match ended.

Motivation to play?! Are you serious? It's not a job or school. The only motivation you need is fun. When it stops being fun, stop playing! If I need to find motivation to play a game, two things are wrong: 1) the game is wasting my time, 2) I'm out of worthwhile hobbies!

I learned how to do it in an attempt to find out how to not get thrown into those games, but no luck there. It is a load of crap these boosters were doing it, but now it is making 3rd person unplayable. I don't care about stats, but I want to play 4v4. I can't stand 6v6 on most of these maps. Demolition is okay and you rank up real fast with it, but I dislike 6v6.

Exactly, and I find it extremely fun to level up and complete challenges. I think the game appeals to different people for different reasons.
 
I kept getting into 9v9 team deathmatch games last night. It was on the normal TDM playlist and games went up to 7500.

So did IW's latest patch cause this? I hadn't seen it before. Seriously what is wrong with people? Why can't they just play the effing game?
