Can someone review how to use the AC-130 and give tips on it? I watched a video on the Machinima channel on YouTube and the guy killed everyone on the screen really quickly. He was constantly spinning the view around and switching to different weapons. I don't have it as a perk but I got it a few times with Care Packages. Last night I was able to kill 2 people, total, in the 30 second time limit. Unlike a new gun I can spend 10 minutes with in a match and find out how accurate it is, how fast the rounds fire, how big the clip is, etc, I don't get the AC-130 enough to understand how to use it effectively.

With all the guns you need to lead your targets. It takes probably 2 seconds or so for the shot to reach the ground.

The AC-130 has 3 different weapons, a 105mm howitzer, 40mm cannon, and a 25mm chain gun. The 105 will put a hole in the ground, if there's a big group of guys who are moving slowly shoot it and hope you get a bunch. The 40mm is my favorite weapon because the 105 has a LONG reload time. You can shoot 4 or 5 shots quickly and then reload. It's still got a big area of effect, you still need to lead your target. Also, remember that the 105 is zoomed way out, the 40 is medium, and the 25mm is zoomed in.

Can you shoot the 105mm then while it's reloading shoot the 40mm and while it's reloading shoot the 25mm?

Yes. I don't care much for the 25mm, so I usually just switch between the 105 and the 40mm. I prefer the 40mm, I only use the 105 because the 40mm has to reload.

If anyone is up for some 3rd Person Team Tactical, add me o smackababy o. I must warn you though, me and my friend do some hardcore raging, but we usually do very well. I, myself, am a beast and he is consistent enough if we had 3 people on our team not retarded, we would win 90% of our games.

Add me, I primarily play 3rd Person TT unless I'm going for the icons. My main goal right now is the AC130 icon - I'm also trying to max out the F2000.

Or you could cook said grenade. That's where (to me) frags have an advantage. The Semtex always have the same length fuze. Short throws are easy to get away from, a grenade that blows up .25 seconds after landing next to you you're not getting away from.

There are times when I just throw a Semtex and hope for the best, but most times I try to intentionally stick players with them. I stuck a player once, who then killed me, best part was watching the KC and seeing his screen light up red, and then explode.

The "Martyrdoh!" achievement is pretty damn funny too.

There's one huge advantage to Danger Close that you're forgetting though. Actually, it only applies to Danger Close Pro. The Pro version not only increases explosive damage, but it also increases the damage done by your air support. A Predator Missile with Danger Close Pro is devastating. I think it even improves air support that uses machine guns, like Harriers, Pave Lows, and Chopper Gunners.

Cuda1447: What attachment do you have on the FAL? Nothing since you just started using it? If you want Danger Close, I guess the grenade launcher would be your best bet, although the RDS/Holo/ACOG might be a good choice if you don't like the stock sights. But I probably wouldn't want to waste Danger Close on a build without a grenade launcher.

I actually use the red dot sight. I'm not a big fan of a grenade launcher as I never have it out. If I need to use it, chances are by the time I switch and fire, I'll be dead already. Silencer really isn't my thing with this build. Let them come. I hear them coming and they don't want in with me.

Reason for Danger Close is I use Scavenger and Claymores. I literally surround myself with claymores. No one is getting in without me hearing them. Most of the time they aren't getting in period. I will literally get 4-5 claymore kills in a row, just replacing them as people set them off. If they happen to get in, chances are I'm ready with my shotty crouched down somewhere. They better nade me, flash me or just plain outshoot me. Its tough to do usually.

Played a bunch of games last night, had two games in a row where I went 24-1 and 25-1 respectively. Had a few down matches but overall it was a good night.

im really considering picking up this game. Which multiplayer platform is most popular so far?

Sales-wise Xbox 360 is enjoying a 2.5/1 ratio, as Cuda mentioned here it's MUCH more lopsided towards the 360.

Amazon had it for $45 shipped yesterday, you might check there again.
